There is another Version of this Song The Warning did, this Version is from their Basement Studio in their house in Mexico the sound Quality is Better.
@@DaveRod76 I talked to the girls after the show and asked them how they felt by the end of that 2 hour set. Dany said as soon as they got up to the dressing room that all 3 of them collapsed on the couch! They truly leave it all on the stage for their fans 🤘⚡️🎶⚡️❤️⚡️🤘
The club owner was a Metallica fan and it was his birthday, so TW did this for him. Look closely at how exhausted Ale is toward the end of the song, and try to keep in mind how young she was but she still delivered.
This show was back in January, 2019, so they were still very young. Dany was 18, Pau was 16, and Ale had just turned 14. Warning fans call Pau's look the "Kubrick Stare". A number of Stanley Kubrick's movies have characters with that look. For instance, check out Jack Nicholson's stare in The Shining.
Hahaha, love it Fred! Like Vincent D'Onofrio in Full Metal Jacket, Malcolm McDowell in A Clockwork Orange, Keir Dullea in 2001: A Space Odyssey... and Pau: The Warning
I can't pick a favorite out of the 3 of them cuz I love all of them for different reasons but I usually lean towards Dany cuz she's a great big sister, the best frontwoman, and she has the best facial expressions, stage presence, and passion of any frontwoman. As Ale described her, "she's so nice all the time, I don't know how she does it" lol! This, the original Enter Sandman cover and The Pretender are my favorite covers of theirs.
You should check out their cover of the Foo Fighters The Pretender probably in my opinion the best cover they have done. ua-cam.com/video/yjDkAnaTVVY/v-deo.html I can't possibly pick one of them out from the others, they all are so amazing, Pau is a powerhouse of energy and lyrical talent. Dani is so warm, happy and forcefully commanding when on stage. Ale is the quiet destroyer, she hovers in the background slightly but knocks everyone over with her thunderous bass and occasional wry smiles. They all come together in such a tight cohesive unit and produce music that is just joyful to hear
There are many things I wish about the recording of the song, and I wish for world peace and everyone gets a puppy. So nothing we can do about it but it's still brilliant. You need to watch this version from the Cave. Sonically it is much better and the camera shots are clearer. I don't think they will be doing many covers anymore, though.
The better recording of this cover is from a few years earlier done in The Warning Cave a few days after recording their 1st studio album XXI Century Blood. Their ages then were Ale 12, Pau 15, Dany 17. The A/V is flawless and the lighting is perfect. The Whiskey video is too dark. You get great shots of all 3. You really get to see all 3 work their instruments. Dany shreds, Pau destroys, Ale sets on fire. This video shows their passion and intensity and talent. Besides you get the Pau bounce, Dany's stank faces, and Ale's cool demeanor at age 12 tearing up those bass lines. You also get a couple of no look Pau crashes. Watch the video and you'll see what I mean. Be sure to read their description at the beginning of the video. Here's the link to the earlier cover: ua-cam.com/video/ujrHJH3yovc/v-deo.html I've met them at a meet and greet already and I wouldn't want to meet them separately. They come in a three pack. You can't split up the package. That's what Rick the sound engineer, who helped David Bendeth record ERROR, said of them ... "They are a mix of the buddy system and gang mentality. They travel in a pack."
Pour quality audio. This was the 23rd song of a 23 song concert and the ladies were completely spent... but this was a "thank you" song for the show promoter so they delivered. Once again to your rescue- here is the pristine recording of Atlas Rise from The Warning Cave from 2017. Basically their last cover song before going exclusively with their own originals: ua-cam.com/video/ujrHJH3yovc/v-deo.html
Great reaction to TW! I am subscribing. I actually prefer an earlier version when they were quite younger. They recorded it in their cave. Not professionally recorded, but the sound is very good and the video is very detailed.
Here is a link to their Cave version of Atlas Rise, this is as good as you're going to get... Back when they first recorded it!!! ATLAS RISE - METALLICA COVER - THE WARNING - ua-cam.com/video/ujrHJH3yovc/v-deo.html
2:10 It's called the Pau Death Stare. Then remember that Pau also sings Revenant, Breathe, and 23 (with no drums on the first two). 4:10 Split lead vocals is one of their big strengths. I don't think it's entirely based on technical instrument difficulty, but rather to add more variety and texture and based on their respective vocal strengths. Also, obviously they don't have Metallica's two guitars, but they do have two lead singers, which Metallica (and most other bands) don't. In this case, Dany's singing the verses and Pau the prechorus and chorus. That's a pretty common division for them (e. g. Survive), but on Disciple Dany sings the first verse while Pau sings the second; they trade off lines in the prechorus with Pau getting the payoff line ("Disciple in the making!"), and then Dany sings the chorus. Pau executes a big fill while singing the second "Disciple in the making" line. The one thing she apparently can't do is recite the spoken lines in Enter Sandman while playing the drums, so Dany does it live, with a very different emphasis than Pau (while James Hetfield sounds creepy and Pau spooky, Dany sounds desperate, in a panic). Regarding the vocal mic, they have a second recording of it from the Cave that's better recorded but doesn't have the same live energy: ua-cam.com/video/ujrHJH3yovc/v-deo.html
I surely like their cover-versions, but would of course prefer them to some new own songs. Dany mentionend in an interview, that they are working on some, but didn't give a perspective of when we could hope for them being brought to us.
For me, this IS a Warning song, becasuse their cover is the first time I ever heard the song. When I, just out of curiostiy, listened to the Metallica version, I said, "Metallica isn't doing it right." LOL I think this is a phenominal performance. I wish they would include one or two covers in their albums. I'm not saying they should continue doing covers, but include the songs they already covered, because it's a part their journey and we all love them.
While we wait for their next album, I wish they could make a cover EP with songs they played in their style, on reels and snipets, from artists like Nelly Furtado.
She's underrated because some people assume that since she doesn't shred on every song that she can't. The real reason she doesn't, of course, is because not every song demands it and because she's going to do what's best for the music rather than personal ego stroking. But it is fun to see her cut loose. That underrating (combined with doing three things at once -- lead and rhythm guitar and lead vocals) is why I consider myself -- by a smidge -- to be Dany Battalion.
@@robertkrawitz8237 Honestly, I don't know why shredding and soloing is considered "ego stroking." I'm a Hendrix and SRV fan. I love phenomal guitar work. I wouldn't consider it mere ego stroking if Dany was bent more on that kind of style, it would just be her art and craft. It's funny how everyone says this but when she does deliever a solo, EVERYONE cheers! Face metling solos is the icing on the cake of ROCK, and I personally wouldn't complain if they wrote more songs with classic solos!
Still my favourite cover of theirs by far, despite the audio quality - it's a pity Paus vocals are always dropping out - especially when she's out front from behind the drums - it's a problem they really need to sort out. But back to this,in my opinion,it's a far stronger song than "Enter Sandman",and the girls have totally owned it - great performance despite the obvious, what it lacks in the audio issues with Paus vocals, their musicianship more than makes up for it.
Agree that Pau’s mic is often underpowered in the mix. Not sure if it’s related to the small mic she’s using which may move too far from her mouth, or during sound checks it’s turned down so it isn’t picking up the drums also. Still, love this performance! 👍😎
Dany recently called her guitar job in the band "LeadThm" because she's had to carefully work out lead and rhythm combinations while singing lead most of the time....
They don't do covers anymore, last cover they did was almost 7 years ago "the pretender" They did covers for the first 3 years but once they started writing their own material they left the covers behind. Enter Sandman last year was a special project and not really a cover Atlas rise that you did here was an one off surprise performance they did for this show for a Metallica fan. It's not an official release that's why you only have fan recordings of the performance. Doing covers if fine when you are starting out to get noticed but if you want to be taken seriously you have to concentrate on your own material. If you continue to do covers you will always be known as a cover band. Once you make it then it's ok to cover a song now and then, change it up and make it your own
Pau and Dany are wonderful, but nobody seems to notice Ale's bass - admitted, I'm a Ale fan boy, she's just so sweet and talented, and what a monster time keeper she is (said by Dany and Pau)
Ale is the Secret Weapon of The Warning. The more you listen to The Warning, the more you hear what a huge role she plays in their sound. A she is just such a sweetheart and a young supermodel masquerading as the most talented and badass bass player on the rock scene today!
Yeah to that. I hope they do an all covers album with all the favorites we love including this one. I just loved the Dani head-banging toward the end looking toward Ale and the audience. The Warning slogan for any song "We Got This."

One tiny badass woman on guitar doing the job of two full grown men!
Often overlooked. She plays both guitar parts simultaneously. She is just awesome in my book..
What a great birthday present for the lad to have that happen for him
This is my absolute favorite cover they do. This performance makes me incredibly proud of them, knowing the back story on it too. 😍
She sings, plays drums, and emotes her feel for the song to the audience as well, no easy task, well for us mere mortals at least. Pau? Piece of cake.

Every single one of us in that crowd had to pick our jaws up off the floor after this.
I can vouch for that,Roy! We were all amazed that the girls had enough left in the tank after their nonstop 2 hour set to end with this banger! 🥰
Yes we did Roy😮
@@greggordon7230 They're young, vibrant, and full of piss and vinegar, lol; even though it did look like it was past Ale's bedtime. lol
