Excellent lads - that seat handle was a task and half. Looking forward to the new one. That metal working looked perfect for the sill. You boys are going to be up there with salvage rebuilds. 👍👍
You guys made good repairs, and you made the car look better than it did from factory with less orange peel on the paint. And you had a good time doing it, and you made an honest and modest profit. So a big 👍
Superb job guys, really enoying the new series and Im a Mini man! this is the show Wheeler Dealers ued to be! good look with the MX5 that thinks it's an Elan Sprint! looks a rough un! All the best
Used a product to revive plastic a while ago called owotrol, worked wonders on car plastics, even on composite house front door.Went from faded pink, back to original ruby red. Smell was familiar from somewhere!! Realised much later it was linseed oil!Which is a smidgen cheaper.
Another comment re the Lindseed oil, thanks for that tip I think I will use that for my 2012 vehicle which has some fading black plastic ! Good work on turning a profit
What a transformation on the fiesta, that seat lever was a pig, you can’t beat shiny red paint. Looking forward to the MX5, I have a K reg V spec import.
the car really came around. which is saying something as the car didn't seem that far off to begin with. your next project may be a bit more of a challenge it seems.
Had one of them in Australia from new. Same colour. Great engine and nice to drive. Here they were called XR4. Ended up selling it after a few years. Too many things went wrong on it and when the air con failed that was it. Will never own another Ford.
Great video again chaps 👍 Just watched the MX5 snippet too - can you let me know the make of the long handled sheet former used to make small panels please ?
Hi Thanks 👍. This is the shrinker and stretche I bought, very handy tools for making the panels. KASTFORCE KF5005 Metal Shrinker... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B08CQVXR4H?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Hi. Really looking forward to sharing the mx5 series. It needed quite a lot of work, it was one of the rotten ones. All nice and solid now though. We’ve got some nice detailed repairs filmed and ready to share starting from next weekend. Hope you enjoy or that it’s helpful in some way. Regards Mark
An uninspiring car for your first revival, but really looking forward to the MX5! My wife has a Mk2 special edition with leather and walnut interior trim which looks mint, but recently cost her 2 grand in repairing the rust on windscreen surround! I told her it wasn't worth it and I could have done it for a fraction of the cost, but she is emotionally attached to the car which she bought new in 2000 and has only done 40K miles.
Gentlemen . You're too nice to be in this game . You spent far too long on the paintwork. It's a car for sale, not a concourse entry ! Just give it a coat of "Auto Glym " radiant wax polish . And once you get into this game , all of a sudden you become traders! There are people out there who will buy a car from you and skin you alive ! I know you mean well but please give this some serious thought . And if you make a habit of this you'll have the tax man and VAT down your neck . I see your next project is an MX5 the tax man doesn't care how many hours it takes to turn this heap into a spanking example , he'll just look at your turnover , not your hard work ! I've watched you both from the early days and respect and admire your commitment and ethics . Don't assume that everyone follows that ethos ......they don't ! I'm not telling you what to do , you're in control , but just think about the consequences . Love you both ! When you've read this and replied l'll remove it !
What a car - i had a FIESTA S (that is how it´s called in Austria) from brand new -

Saved from the scrap yard great jobs lads 👍🏻
Great Dad & Son team 👍🏻
Lovely looking motor now chaps what a transformation
That paint finish looked great when you were fitting the rear badges. Looking forward to the next one !
Fiesta turned out a tidy little car!
MX5 needs a bit more but you'll get there 👍
Great job. I thought that was a lotus with that paint job at first 😳
Me as well at first, then clicked on. Hahaha
Unbelievable the difference the oil made to the door handles

From the colours, at first I thought a 1960's Lotus Elan but then quickly realised that it was an MX-5
The mx5 was copied from the lotus elan just saying from north of Newcastle

Amazing transformation on the fiesta. They’re cracking little cars. The MX5 looks interesting, something to really get stuck into.

@@upbuild4397 great, thanks - handy bit of kit 👍
The mx5 doesn't look like a quick fix. I'll be interested to how you tackle this 😁😁. My daughter has a mx5 & I'd like to see how you sort it.

@@upbuild4397 sounds like a good series. I'm looking forward to watching.

So the Linseed oil works like Armour All? Good to know...
Would never only replace one shocker as may affect handling, what will be happening to mini build, keep up the good work
Great work MX5 next
So, is the fiesta in fiesta red? lol
It looks fantastic. 😀
Hi. It’s Colarado red, definitely one of my favourite reds, I also had a Ford Transit mk6 in Colarado red.
I can not wait to see the next project i think its a mx5
❤😊
what happened to the mini have you given up?
Longer videos.. you could string them out a bit more, and go more in depth for the repairs
The next cars mx5 typical sill repairs etc
The Fiesta looks amazing! You guys did a fantastic job bringing it back to life. Looking forward to your next project.
Yipee I'm 1st
Mk1 Mk 5
