"Every few months, Valve likes to break their game" is just the sad reality. I mean, even poor TF2, sidelined for HL:A, finally got a new update, and the "fresh" community map which has utterly broken the game balance.
Weeeell the update worked perfectly fine. It was meant to make the game bad for cheaters and smurfs, and tbf, WarOwl, even if he is trying his best to reach Global, is a smurf in LE or even lower. I am actually proud of what Valve did with trust and I believe it's working way better than many people think.

Actually: They didnt breake the game. I mean thats what trustfactor is for. I love that feature. I am a GN 4 pleb and whenever there are opponents way out of my league [Smurfs] its frustrating. Furthermore I play casually (NOT CASUAL!) meaning I dont give a lot about my rank. I dont want to rank up and get better. I just want to have some fun. And this is why I think Trustfactor is great. I rarely have any problems with hackers/cheaters/smurfs or grievers anymore! When I see Overwatchgames I awlways see like at leaste 1v1 hackers. And didnt you say a looong time ago: Let the cheaters play against each other? Put them in bowl together and let us fine folk play our beloved game! I´m sorry for R2GE. I really am.
