I missed your videos. It's just so magical how you can make something so beautiful so fast. I wonder if you could do a video showing the shop and some of the finished items you sell? It would be so interesting to see for us who are so far away and likely won't be able to visit. Also maybe speak about how you decide what to make and when? I'm sure your fans would like the little details you take for granted.
You have created a library of demonstration videos. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. Not sure what the pay to effort scale is with social media, but I am grateful you helped mentor me as I learn to create a retirement job. Thanks again
Don't be disheartened by the number of views, your subscribers will watch your videos one way or another. Pottery at a glance is interesting for a lot of people but the routine of throwing can become tedious and dull to some. Granted most of the viewers come to learn tricks and techniques of pottery, I'm sure there's group of people who turn up just to entertain themselves with the art of pottery but these people only watch when there's a need of it. I'm of the latter group as I love watching your videos because it is calming and I always marvelled at your pottery-making skills. Still, as I am just a regular watcher, I take time to go through all of them only when the mood arises. With so many other contents on UA-cam, it's not easy to hold people's attention especially with channels focusing on pottery. Now that there's a booming growth of pottery community on UA-cam, there's a lot of channels people can choose from unlike before especially channels made by young potters who utilizes UA-cam shorts with trends and editing skills. Your old videos that have 100k to million views are often unique just like the apple one and I assumed back then pottery videos are rare so that could be the contribution for the difference in views between then and now. Maybe as suggested by other commenters, you can diversified your videos, showing another aspect of pottery other than throwing. But always know that I enjoy watching you going about your day as you do your pottery, that to me is the charm of your videos and the highlight of it unlike any other pottery UA-camrs. So you should just do you and continue what you love, keep that charm always, we all here happy to receive your pottery videos anytime.
Thanks for narrating your techniques! Started wheel classes a little over a month ago, and I’m not quite resonating with how it’s being taught. I’m going to try some of the ways you do it next week. Thanks again!
I’m curious how you keep your pots from getting S cracks as I don’t see you compressing the bottom. It appears that after you open you go straight into gaining height and pulling. You add a good bit of water along the way and mop it all out at the end. I find this fascinating as a fairly new potter. It goes against the way I was instructed and what I’ve gleaned from watching others. Can you please expand on how you are able to throw this way without compressing? I’ve been watching your videos to learn additional ways to throw taller and find your information very helpful. Thank you
@zippytippie453, It may have something to do with the clay. European clay is milled much finer than what is available in the U.S. Being more "plastic" the gobs of water doesn't cause cracking. Also, he does actually compress with his thumbs. It's very subtle. He's a real pro! If you watch the video again you might catch it. It's very subtle. Hope that helps.
I love your videos. I've only been doing pottery for a short time, and I have learned so much and have been inspired by what you do! I have a very hard time with pulling up, and I am always so impressed with how perfectly you do it! Please keep posting! I love you!
Top tip: Your videos are great for people with ASMR. The sound quality and workmanship is perfect to relax to. With that being said. You should title your videos as ASMR or Unintentional ASMR. You might find that your channel grows a lot faster that way due to the ASMR community being quite big. (I watch your content due to the ASMR aspect of it) Anyway, great content as always!
You don’t need to buy LED lights for camera. You just need to find lighting fixtures that have the correct Hertz setting for your camera. Cheap LEDs can flicker just as bad. Also can you please make a video dealing more with your shop and how you handle inventory? How do you know what to make and when to make it??? How are sales and how do you grow that side of the clay world?? Thanks so much for the teachings . I knuckle pull because of your videos!
Glad to see you back at it again. I had subscribed so long ago that your channel is low on a long list, and I have missed a couple. I have turned notifications on and will ensure that I give you a like to let you know that we are still watching. Hope to see you again soon.
Can you do more of your slip casting? The square vases with the thrown tops were really cool! Also I like seeing the behind the scenes on how the rest of the studio works.
Yikes a 500W bulb? I had no idea they still made incandescents that powerful (and hot!). Might be nice in the winter, but I doubt it'll ever be comfortable LOL Hopefully you can find a solution as I really love all your videos- I've learned a lot from you and will always watch anything you choose to upload.
I love watching your videos! How much weight was your clay? I agree with @marymacdonald3506 when they said you should start showing you glazing and glazed pieces.
Keep sharing with us! Many of us Amateur potters really enjoy your videos and learn a lot ! Thank you for the years of sharing your style . 🙂

Please don't get discouraged on UA-cam. Your videos teach me so much.

Keep sharing! Please? I tend to stock pile your videos and binge watch them.
Love that you chat while working

We’ve missed you 😊 Great throwing even with the burning 500w bulb 💡! When you get cold in the winter months that should come in handy 😆

I see what looks like him compressing the bottom- it's fast and efficient, like all his motions. I'm amazed at how quickly he does everything...

Can you video your glazed pieces also. Thank you
Throwing tall as ever; I love watching your videos! Only... never before have I been afraid your hair would catch on fire! Cheers! jw
Great video. Thank you.
Love your videos! Your skill is super impressive & the work is beautiful! ❤ i cannot comprehend how these near perfect pieces are made in minutes!
Thank you for this video, I’ve been trying to throw bigger and this gave me a lot of insights! Greetings from Antwerp

I wondered where you had gone to.

Keep sharing plz . Would love to see a video on how to make a gravy boat . If you wouldn't mind.
Thanks for the video they are really enjoyable - light was fine but a LED strip will be more comfortable for you :)
I’d like to see you attempt to replicate known historical objects, like Roman pots.

Suffering for your art eh? Hope the blisters heal quickly. 🙂
