Great sample vid. The still of Merthyr station showed the newer version- the old station was much grander. S Wales seems to be disappearing into greenery. I am glad I remember the old gray valleys
Yes, the pre-Beeching map of lines in about 1960 was virtually the same as it had been in 1948. Some of the Barry Railway lines had gone, as well as one or two of the speculative Taff Vale Railway lines had closed.
not sure if you guys cares but if you guys are bored like me during the covid times you can watch all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my gf lately =)

Hi Mervyn, Sorry for the delay in my reply. The South Wales Valley line DVD was produced two years ago and when sales of the DVD fell off after about a year it was no longer economic for me to continue paying to keep my web pages! I do have a few copies of the video still available and if you would like one I will sell it at cost price of £4. You may also be interested in a new DVD I have just produced called 'Goodbye Arriva Trains Wales' ua-cam.com/video/rZcf65nGHNQ/v-deo.html and costs £5.76. It's a 40-minute video that reviews the ATW rolling stock, the services and the financial status of ATW and tries to make a conclusion on how ATW performed over its 15-year life. If you are interested, please send an e-mail to me at pilipalavideo@gmail.com
