Wolfpack's strategy of naming the objectives point NUMBER "C" and point NUMBER "B" is a superb example of out of the box thinking.

you inspired me to start my own finland conquest, a few notes from me
-Marksman squad is great if used right
-heavy engineers gun emplacements are extremely OP, but despite them being AA guns they dont target enemy planes, so make sure you bring actual AA rather than relying on them
-the starting 37mm bofors is so good for a long time, I'm starting to see T-34s now though so thats a problem
-the T-37 has proven a great thing on the attack if used carefully, for the same manpower cost as a maxim it is much better for offensive actions and they are easy to capture
-do everything you possibly can to capture enemy howitzers, a 122mm gun is an immense force multiplier
-T-28s are fun and extremely good against infantry if you can capture them, but the early version is truly pathetic at anti tank with that super short gun
-civil defense squads are my favourite to use, they may be low quality but the madsen gun they come with is good, and you can bring way way more infantry than you otherwise could. also funny bringing a bunch of old men
-once you get stage 4, especially on a defence on a map like mannerheim, it starts gettng pretty overwhelming to deal with all your forces, co-op is a good idea in that case as damn its hard to keep track of everything
edit - thought of a couple more things
-the soviet Ampulomet is a good capture, launching incendiary rounds out to decent range and quick to move they are quite good on the attack, but they should be used once and thrown away, because their ammo resupply cost is insane
-resupply all is a dangerous button overall, you'll quickly run out of ammo if you arent careful when using certain equipment
-low calibre AT guns like the 20mm lahti and 37mm bofors are great to capture enemy equipment, I captured a pair of 85mm AA guns and they are great but leave almost nothing but burning wrecks
Man I love this game. I would definitely recommend getting very solid anti-tank guns very quickly as Finland since the jump from T-26s to T-34s is rapid and can easily catch you off guard. Plus, once you see a T-34 you can easily encounter a KV-1 which is absolutely disastrous if you don’t have proper AT. I remember my first Finland play through, when I met the 1st KV-1, my best AT gun was a 76mm gun from a stolen T-34 M1940 which was wholly insufficient for the job. I ended up tracking the tank with my 84mm gun followed by destroying the main gun barrel which allowed me to eventually destroy the tank by lobbing enough AT grenades and molotovs that eventually they managed to destroy the thing. That was a definite wake up call to get some proper AT capabilities.
Oh also, if you ever can, DSHKs are so lethal against infantry plus the shred armored cars. I would highly recommend strategically relocating that equipment to an alternate location if you see one.
They are like the 20mm gun you have but they don’t instantly run out of ammo.
I love watching that 20mm tear into them every round.

Solid tactics! Just remember, the points always have a few MGs on them, so you should never run an infantry squad straight at a point unless you're flanking from the rear. Scout vehicles and armored cars are exceptionally good for softening up those static defenses early on.

Fun series and good editing! I highly recommend that you 3rd person direct control the officer with the binoculars selected to scout into the fog of war!
And also double-right click move or get-in orders so the infantry gets up and runs instead of crawl
To see if your vehicles and guns have run out of AP or HE you need to select them and press "I"

I just got on UA-cam and saw this so I sat down and put it on the tv and cracked an adult beverage and I’m so happy now
I decided to pick this game up cause it looked interesting and I'm glad I did. Nothing beats the satisfaction of setting up a strong line of units and not getting them slaughtered.
And then a new tank you haven't seen before beams yours and you just wanna die.
can't wait to see the bigger slug fest between panzer 4 and T34

Nicely done! You are a commander your troops would love to fight under. One suggestion for future attack battles, after enemy armor and ATGs have been destroyed, move your armoured cars up as infantry and mg suppressors, prior to advancing your infantry and cannon.

Compared to previous episodes, the mutual support and cover of vehicles and infantry squads are much better, and casualty is significantly reduced
The two convicted recruits were probably wounded by your mortar attack, and then later bled out.

sadly the best tanks in the finnish tech tree are t34-85 kv-1e stug3 and pz4j, no late war heavies.
Man, infantry are stupidly expensive for how squishy and ineffective they are.

You should try the Combat Mission games. Way more in depth then this.
You should always take as much as possible. Atleast so you can sell inferior armaments. But that's just my opinion

trucks can tow guns, tanks cant
@@burgundy8897Late reply, but some can. Pretty limited selection but the T-60 light tank, Pz. 1, Hellcat, Chaffee, and a handful of others can tow a light gun or ammo wagon with them.

I'm another viewer who purchased the game based on your series. Really scratching an itch that CoH2 failed to satisfy for me. Wish there was a little bit more to the dynamic conquest mode, but I understand that's not really the focus.
