tibet was occupied by the old serfdom system, now no more, now you see the real smiling tibetans who are free to do whatever they want, whether to stay study or be monks or even do business or leave the country altogether like you, no ones stopping them, no one is forced, funny thing is, even the former Dalai Lama was not forced, he literally left the country with his chinese passport lol, he can still enter tibet, just can't touch politics because separation of state and religion.

China has over 200 cities with 1M+ inhabitants. Yet there are wide open vast open spaces. Beautiful sceneries. When I look at the "flag tents" there seems to be different levels of maturation. Some "tents' are more sparse while some are more full. A beautiful aerial view of the tents. Amazingly large mushrooms. Can I assume the nutrients that came from the richest the Yellow River can offer?
That's what the real traveling should be! I always feel boring when we travel from one big city to another because the big city are just so alike and the activities you can do here seemed just shopping. The real traveling can bring us into another different culture and daily living ,and through such journey we can get more feelings about the real world.

On May 12, 2008, an earthquake with a magnitude of 8.0 just occurred in the Songpan area, very close to Wenchuan , the earthquake center. I was there! On May 11, I took a bus from Chengdu to Jiuzhaigou. On the dangerous winding mountain road, passed through Songpan and arrived at Jiuzhaigou in the middle of the night. There was a big earthquake next day and I was trapped in Jiuzhai Gou valley for a week! I found out from your videos that Songpan is very new, with all the buildings, roads and planned town center, but still very crowded…. The people there are so strong, rebuilding their homes in the same seismically active area! It's a very beautiful area, but it's also a very, very dangerous place. You let me revisit this area thru your camera, thank you!

The Yellow River, the original name in Tibetan is Peacock River(རྨ་ཆུ། Machu), because the Yellow River in Tibetan areas is clear most of the time, and it is only a yellow river during the rainy season. It is always a yellow river in the middle and lower reaches, so the name is different.

The National park in Huang Long is definitely a good site to visit. So many beautiful ponds and the walking boards are knee friendly, didn’t know this part of Sichuan is a scenic site 😊 Panda and mala comes to my mind when Sichuan is being mentioned 😅 I guessed I have lots to learn. Sichuan: wow! The contrast between the four cardinal points cannot be emphasized enough of the landscapes and cultures of this amazing province. Whether it is the panda sanctuary on edge of Chengdu city, the snowy peaks of Sigunuang National Park, the long, long railway track stretching out towards Xi'an, or the limestone peaks of Leshan and Emei Mountain and grasslands and mountains of Ta Gong and Tibetan autonomous regions leaves you breathless. This video brings back memories of all and my travels around Sichuan, but particularly the grasslands of the west. As always, your commentary and filming are of great interest and of unique quality. Thanks for the fond memories. Jiuzhiagou national reserve is another must see destination and close to the Huanglong limestone pools. I was there in Fall 2006 prior to the big quake and the cable cars did not exist back then. I was mesmerized by Sichuan's beauty and fascinating diverse deep rooted culture. A mushroom paradise indeed, so many unique tasty varieties.😁 This region although part of Sichuan, is known as Eastern Tibet as evident by the many Tibetan settlements. You did the exact same route as I did in 2016. I thought Huanglong was busy when I visited, but compared to the queue you showed it wasn't too bad. I almost got in a fight because one guy thought I was taking to long taking pictures at the top basin, thought as a foreigner I was an easy victim and started pushing me. When I told him off in not so nice Chinese, he wanted to start a fistfight but was stopped by some bystanders. At least I learned that the words (他妈的)I used were maybe a bit stronger than I previously thought 😂.

Jiuzhiagou national reserve is another must see destination and close to the Huanglong limestone pools. I was there in Fall 2006 prior to the big quake and the cable cars did not exist back then. I was mesmerized by Sichuan's beauty and fascinating diverse deep rooted culture.
A mushroom paradise indeed, so many unique tasty varieties.😁 This region although part of Sichuan, is known as Eastern Tibet as evident by the many Tibetan settlements. Happy and safe travels and looking forward to your next upload...👍✌️

You did the exact same route as I did in 2016. I thought Huanglong was busy when I visited, but compared to the queue you showed it wasn't too bad. I almost got in a fight because one guy thought I was taking to long taking pictures at the top basin, thought as a foreigner I was an easy victim and started pushing me. When I told him off in not so nice Chinese, he wanted to start a fistfight but was stopped by some bystanders. At least I learned that the words (他妈的)I used were maybe a bit stronger than I previously thought 😂.
