Usually we use '' 男 '' as man more than 夫 . '' 夫'' more means husband . And ''子 '' not only mean child , the most important meaning is '' son '' . And about child I think we use '' 童'' or '' 兒童'' much more often than 子 .
"no offense" *then says you are stupid* btw you are committing a lot of logical fallacy here LOL Yuli Wang didnt attack the video, she is actually correct, she is just making a suggestion on top of the video
I haven't found any book where the original pictorial meaning was revealed for Chinese characters as it was done in this video. This is simply stunning! I had no idea that there is really a meaning behind these forms, and when you know it, it's much easier to remember them!
+Peter Fritz I agree, when I started learning Chinese, I was expected to learn a bunch of characters with no explanation of what they consist of. The shock was so big, I felt compelled to change the status quo! Check out websites like wordbuddy.com, where you can easily dissect any character, or Chinese resources like www.zdic.net/, where you can find the evolution for every character.
Peter Fritz Walter There are some books that explain radicals and character evolution and their meanings. A Swedish scholar published at least one book. Not sure if there is Chinese-English version. For such books, if you can’t find online, you need to go to China to find. Depending on your luck. Library is a better source.
Thank you very much for adding the pin yin, this helps so much. I love your 2 other videos, but for me it 's difficulkt to find how to say the words, because I cannot look them up without pinyin. Your cideos are awsomme! They are so helpful! I can remember all the words after watching them only once! The explanations and the drawing are great! Excellent work!
I enjoyed the lesson so much but please, could you speak when you show as the charaters? It was much more easier if you do it. I have subscribed your channel. Xiè xie Love from Portugal

虽然这样有助于记忆,但这曲解了字原本的含义,比如「女」并不是一个跳舞的女人,而是「正坐」的象形。
WeMing 字,古漢語的意思就是「養育,生孩子」。所以有子
我觉得学语言只要能帮助学习者记住什么方法都是好方法
how its call the song pls 你好,這首歌怎麼稱呼?

Are those radicals used in japanese kanji as well? For example, "person" in japanese is " hito", and has the same symbol🤔
Super helpful! Thanks so much for posting. Easy to learn characters quickly.

In Igbo language, to say “support”’ one might say “Nnye aka” meaning give hand. So cool how are languages are similar or the rational is similar.
我喜歡中文,我喜歡唱中文歌。 我不是中國人,我是泰國人。

很好。谢谢你们。😀
Aha thanks
你好!我在德国的大学学习经济和汉语。很好的视频,可是你写得不对。 你写了“要”是上声,但是“要”是去声。
再见!:)
philipl22 you are right, it's a mistake
+philipl22 哦,对,谢谢指出!!:)
philipl22 其实“要”是一个多音字
1 2 对啊,但只有“要”的时候平时是去声。有别的字跟”要”在一起就是阴平声,比如要求和要挟。
Great
Plz sir make more videos its interesting ☺😊☺😊☺😊
Fantastic videos! Helped me heaps! Xie xie!
This is so lit
The father icon scares me
why you named it as radical mandarin??
do you only talk about radicals??
This is strange. This seems to based more on style than logic.
im waiting for next video with heart n soal
wonderfulllll
要就是第四声调
ni hao ma
Dad,kid and mom
人/亻/𠆢 夫 女 子 母 父
But I would like to listen the pronunciation. I write you from El Salvador in Central América.
West is where this woman wants to go
What does this radical mean?
Child + Roof = Chinese Character!? Xiexie.
父子母
Study chinese may be not spell but just only remember.
認 爺
Me agrada este método, especialmente por lo simbólico.
