Hi Paul you are a real smart arse and I mean that lovingly, when you need to learn or sort a problem with Elementor you are the go to guy, always so clear and precise in your information I just wish I could store all that info in my head, I think I will get an SSD for a brain lol...

Ha ha! Thanks John, that certainly made me laugh. So much so, that you're getting this comment pinned to the top of the comment section. :0)
I get a kick out of trying to find more interesting ways to use the tools we have and Geert's comment piqued my interest as to whether this type of thing was possible. Turns out it was and was super easy too.. 😉

Thanks, Paul! I think it's awesome that you take the time to come up with an answer and also create a video. A truly unselfish person and mentor!

Paul your so good at diving deep into the way software works that I genuinely think if you partnered with a software developer and came out with your own lightweight builder, it would be a real contender for those looking for something different to elementor and the others...

Now THAT would be something ;)

Thank you! As a bit of an OCD person, I'm a big fan of both Admin Column and WP Custom Admin Interface. I have recently started dabbling with ACF and am currently trying to understand (and failing) Repeater Fields, that is how I found this video. As a big user/creator of my own Templates, I have a naming system and Categories to keep track of what does what. What you showed here is a brilliant add-on to this. Noteworthy is that you really need to create that one note for the not option to actually show up in the Admin Column Field dropdown. Also, most likely it won't be the Default option, it will be one of many Fields so you might need to scroll a bit before you find it. Now, back to Repeater Fields, think someone needs to make an Infographic on it instead. For a layman and padawan level ACF-user, this is not simple nor obvious. Love your videos, regardless.

I didn't understand the repeater either till I found Pauls channel. He has some awesome videos where he shows how they work and how to use them.

That is exactly what I was looking for! 😊 Thank you very very much, Paul -you're a star. I'll add this to my sites first thing tomorrow. I genuinely feel this should be a core feature! It isn't, unfortunately, but you came up with a very elegant solution. Congratulations!

Your question made me curious if it was possible. I'll be honest, the more I use tools like ACF and Admin Columns, the more I feel as designers we can create more elegant solutions for ourselves or our clients. 👍

Very good solution Paul 👌, I think that adding a screen capture thumbnail would be visually helpful too!

Totally. With this method you could add so many pieces of additional information to your dashboard. 😁

Yes, I agree, so I implemented it using the technique Paul demonstrated. Thanks for the suggestion 😊

Great tut. What plugins would you use to emulate UA-cam and SoundCloud? Users upload content which can be filtered and displayed by newest and randomly?

Paul's method worked great with templates in the Theme Builder and Saved Templates IF they were pages and sections. But I could not find a way to set the new ACT Notes field for Elementor Global Widgets on the Saved Templates page. Do I need to create a new ACF Field Group with a rule about "Widget - is equal to - Elementor Library?" Where can I update the custom fields for a Global Widget to add a note?

Could it be that Admin Columns Pro (free version) no longer allows to grab the ACF field via the Custom Field type? I don't see the Notes field I created as per the tut here.

Hi Paul, I have question here. Is it possible to make a loop template that has a button that will pop up to additional info? I’m currently using cptui, acf pro, ele custom skin and modal pop widget from UAE. However, the pop up only reads the first post as dynamic content requires to be in the page to call the correct field value. Any way to make this work on elementor rather than using fancybox with shortcode? Let me know if you need more details about my question. Thanks!☺️

I'll need to have a look into this, but I'm sure there is a way to make it possible.

elementor is developing that widget. they announced it a few weeks ago that they are developing it. it should be released probably in version 3. if you need one urgently, you can check out Dynamic Content www.dynamic.ooo/
