I really love Mitsuru’s character. They’ve could’ve easily made her an arrogant rich girl who looks down on everyone type of cliche. But seeing a noble rich girl, being kind and compassionate and considerate of others, as well as not having a mean, abusive father is honestly a breath of fresh air. It really highlights that you can still be kind and empathetic, even if you are rich.
Mitsuru always been my choice since back then on PS2 😊

As someone who is a massive Protag x Mitsuru shipper ever since the PS2 days, you have no idea how much I have longed to have Mitsuru standing up to her fiancé fully voiced. Particularly, 56:56. My heart.... My heart can't take it! (Move over rich guy, you're not the fiancé anymore.)

I think the MC x Mitsuru shipping works well in the PS2 version, because the original voice actors, Yuri Lowenthal and Tara Platt, are actually married.

I have played all versions of P3 multiple times. One thing they had in common regardless of the playthrough : Mitsuru was always the main girl. Since 2007 when i first played vanilla P3 till nowadays.
Unfortunately the only thing missing for this to be perfect is the NG+ romance ending from Portable, that was removed here.

I didn't romance anyone in this game, (because I already knew how it was going to end, so doing that felt cruel and pointless) but IF I was going to choose anyone, it would have been Mitsuru. She was the coolest girl. (The dog was best boy, no contest.)
I didn't enjoy the game, so I'll never play it again, but I can watch this instead just to see what it was like.

Tbh I instantly fell in love with Mitsuru as soon as I saw her, but to me (idk if anyone felt like this) story wise it felt wrong to date her due to her having this strong feeling of an older sister to the Protagonist, so it kinda felt like me forcing the protag to date a sister figure.
I could see why some people feel that way. I never really felt that personally, she does definitely have maternal like tendencies at times (which also extends to the rest of the team). Wanting to make sure others OK, but perhaps feeling a little distant at times. Which I think stems from her struggle to properly integrate herself with her own age group, to speak with them on more equal footing, and not really knowing how to come across as trying to help as a friend, not as an older figure to rely on.
So, I see her as more like someone that would really like to be closer/more casual with others, but has no way of knowing how to do so. Which causes her to default to her more ingrained habits of speaking and acting more like an adult. That's why I find her Social Link really sweet, where she learns more about fast food and more informal dining and really comes to love it.

That's part of the reason why I didn't date anyone when I played this game. I knew you couldn't hang out with them until you had the right max social stats. And while that is the case for some of the girls in the other games, it's way more annoying in this game because they're always there. You meet all of them super early and are teammates from the start. So even if you were to do new game plus, you're still blocked from starting the links until the story says you can, rather than being able to do it earlier because you already have the required stats.
That on top of the fact that I already knew how the game ended and didn't think romancing anyone was even worth it.
