I attended Music and Art High School in New York City (graduated 1980) and we learned this beautiful aria my first term. I sang it every time I could. So beautiful and I could sing about my love of the Blessed Mother. ❤️
Maria Horvath's rendition of this lovely sacred song is the best I've heard on line. I sing this song, and my rendition thereof can't compare with hers... Thank you for posting this.
I've just been given this beautiful aria by my singing teacher and I needed to find a version here that was professionally done - so my deepest thanks for posting this lovely version!!
Why those 39 dislikes? WHY! I'm doing this song, and I feel so emotional when hearing her sing it. Even when I sing it, I feel that same emotion. That's just the beauty of this song. Who wrote this song?
wonderful voice , beautiful diction, but too much "on tempo". Seems a solfeggio, no expressive anticipations, no hues... Why opera singers sing baroque music so schematically?
Ah, there has to be at least one in every crowd. Listen to a video of the amazing Cecilia Bartoli, and there will always be a fool talking about her dress or her facial expressions or some nonsense.
Sencillamente delicado, preciso, emocionado, exquisito. Gracias, María

Is there any way you have sheet music?
@@jaycichristensen8610 That comment was 11 years ago lol- but just look up a PDF or get a book for mezzo-sopranos that includes this piece 👍
Gyönyörű hang, nagyszerű előadás! :) Élvezet hallgatni :)

Is there anyway you still have sheet music from this song?
@@jaycichristensen8610 Luckily I’m a bit of a hoarder so I do still have the sheet music. 😊
I like this rendition very much. I like the steady, reliable temp, beautiful voice, and depth of feeling. Excellent.

Why does what she look like matter?
Ah, there has to be at least one in every crowd. Listen to a video of the amazing Cecilia Bartoli, and there will always be a fool talking about her dress or her facial expressions or some nonsense.
@Dominiquegmusic That's cool, but nope, I'm not from Texas. :)
Nadq k decir hermoso
Gorgeous voice. But why does she look like a vampire?
Mary Ridenour LMAOOOOOOOO MADE MY DAY
Mary Ridenour - She doesn't. Not everyone has to look like everyone else. I am grateful for the diversity in looks that makes us unique individuals.
