Too harsh? ridiculous. Bobby is the epitomy of traditional jazz organ, blending church, blues, jazz, and soul elements. There is none better....there's nothing harsh about him...he is all guts, feel, soul......the guy is all heart. Listen to his CD's and tracks on youtube...if you still don't get him, then I don't know....
Dave's ideas are so musical and at times just the blues

I usually don't like the "jazz guitar sound" all that much but man did it sound great with the organ!

@GustavUppercut You hit the nail on the head. I think the B3 is the perfect foil for the guitar, since it can play woth such legato, sustain, and vibrato. This gives the guitar a lot more breathing space, instead of haveing to fill up the room with a big sound. It's a lot like the fiddle in Bluegrass. The contrast is needed against all the percussive string sounds, and adds a smoothness that is not otherwise there.
