It's time to start questioning what's being taught at these police academies.
So you all complained about the previous officers who had years on the force to bring in new recruitment. You complained that the new recruitment isn't trained properly. The citizens are suing these cities left and right for incompetence. Now you want these same officers to be trained properly on a shoe string budget? Our property taxes in Cook County Illinois have more than doubled this coming up taxes that is due in August. The list of things which have got us here is ridiculous and this "community" do not want to accept any responsibility.
Yes, it's unfortunate that she lost her life over a pot of hot boiling water. But can we point out her mental state? Being very difficult answering very simple questions like giving the officers her name or I.D. Even the female EMT that was on the scene stated that they were out there earlier that day to her call.
Why would anyone from this "community " would continue to call the police?

@@spankbuda3769 That cop didn't know she called earlier that day, if she actually did. If he knew that, that hot head would have mentioned that to her, in the same rude manner he asked what took so long for her to answer the door.
Second, he had no business asking to come in, after he and her both agreed there was no longer any threat. But then he comes in, and ask her for ID in her own house. So who's more mentally ill, and imposing a threat. Surely not her, for not answering his questions fast enough.

Well, first of all that iPhone that you given to your GF was a gift. This is a civil matter and not a criminal matter. You also must understand for the protection of the officers and you during a domestic dispute they must check for any weapons. The woman was not even near the water. The police officer TOLD HER to go turn off a pot of water and that is when she walked to the stove. He just shot her, he could have backed up, given her time to put it down, done anything, but he just shot her.
No, she had taken the water off the stove, and was heading to the sink with the pot of water. She never did anything to the officer, nor did she try to throw the water on him, he made that up.

Years ago, I was walking down the street in DC. I asked a stranger where the store was. He said he would show me. We started walking. There is a police car about 50 feet down the street. We both see the police car and look at each other. He grabs me and tries to drag me in an alley. I start kicking, swinging my arms and start to scream. Luckily, he couldn't cover my mouth and hold me at the same time. He dropped me and ran away. I ran to the police and told them what just happened. They didn't pursue. They treated ME like the criminal. Those police were black. That man is probably still free kidnapping and r*ping women all over DC. I thank God that I got away. But I am disgusted with the lack of POLICING that many police actually do. I bet if someone investigated their records, they have more traffic tickets cited than crimes solved.
