I just got my Sitka Waders last weekend and have 3 hunts on them and I’m impressed. I hiked probably 8-9 miles in those 3 hunts and they are so comfortable. Only downside is the boots are 1700g and little too warm for hiking that much. Good pair of wool socks helped
Good to hear! I’m looking forward to putting mine to work this weekend! Thanks for the comment!
@@ACHUNTTV Starting my 4th season in my Sitka waders. have you ever sent your waders in for the End-of-Season service? Well worth it to make sure you start out each season with waders that have been pre-tested for integrity.
Also, Sitka states that their waders are 100% serviceable for life. You may have to pay for repairs, but it's cheaper than buying all new waders.
I went with Sitka after this review. The warranty!
I believe Sitka partnered with lacrosse to make the boots for those waders.
Yes they did
I got to get me a pair of them. They'll keep my tushy dry.
What did y’all think as far as the sizing goes on the Sitka waders? I am 5’11” 170-180 ish and I wear an 11 in the normal green lacrosse boots. With that being said I was thinking 11 for the boots and large for the wader size.
Yessir, I’d say that would work great for you. I’m 6’-6’1” ish, 220 and large fit me well. Probably could’ve went with a xl but all the store had was large.
@@ACHUNTTV thank you for the quick response and great video.
@@ACHUNTTV also what size did you go with in the boots and what is your normal boot size?
@@cameronwilliams6352 i normally wear a 12 and 12 fits great! Most definitely the most comfortable wader boot I’ve ever put on.
Shoulda sized up on the sitka
I’m new to duck hunting, and I wanted to know why you went with the “brown” color for your Sitka waders and not one of the other Camo patterns? What would be your recommendation on which Sitka Camo pattern would be the most versatile to hunt both marsh, timber, and blinds. Which Chene Camo pattern would you recommend? Thanks
What do you hunt more, Timber or Marsh? I think the solid color is great for both. The ducks really aren’t going to care.
What size should I get if I’m 5,3-5,4 and 135-145 In weight I really need help thank you
I have a buddy that is 5-4, 5-5 and about 130lbs he has chene size smalls
The chenes are made overseas, where the sitkas are made in the USA. Big deciding factor for me.
Not trying to start an argument but I’m pretty sure they both are honestly, on Sitka’s website in the description for the Delta Zip Waders it says imported. But i know that for the warranty services they do it all in the USA.
@@ACHUNTTV really? I was under the impression that the sitkas where us made from my Google searches. The chenes I got the answer straight from the horse's mouth. I'll have to do a little more digging to make sure.. I'll be giving sitka an email today, thanks.
What does the Sitka warranty cost for a repair and how long does it take to get them back?
Sitka is made in China . Just checked my tag.
Sitka says made in el salvador on the tag
Chene all the way. never been the biggest fan of Sitka in flooded timber here in Arkansas. I just love the bottomland camo pattern in flooded timber. I'll spend the extra $100 on the chene.
Don’t blame you one bit! I used to be diehard bottomland guy but i have since switched to solid color waders because they look good in most habits as well as work good with any camo. If chene would have had solid brown like they did last year i would have probably went with them in all honesty.
Just curious, how many seasons have you hunted in your chene waders?
Nylon > polyester
That’s 1 of the most important differences
Which is Nylon and which is polyester?
