one thing this has shown us all is how fragile we are, and no matter when or here we where born, how much we need each other, how important keeping the knowledge of what can probably for some classed as old school - making a loaf of bread or soup. stay safe and take care.
Thank you for your calming video. My 7 year old and 5 year old granddaughter and grandson have taught Grampa how to video chat fun but not the same as warm hugs and kisses. God bless
Smiles are a welcome gift in these strange times. It is especially nice to see that humor is still alive and well in VA. I made an essential Spyder ride yesterday as well. It was great to have the familiar feeling as I got my fix. You all keep practicing being safe and good luck.
Thanks for posting your videos even during this pandemic. Something familiar and entertaining is a welcome thing right now. Definitely agree about Road Runner being a great publication. Used them a lot to plan motorcycle trips back in the day. I loved those little maps in the back before all the GPS stuff became commonly used. Good to see you got some seat time on the Spyder even if it was just a ride to Walmart and back. Stay safe
Great to see you guys coping and adapting. And glad you’re still well. Also, great to see you got in a short ride on the Spyder. Stay safe and Happy Easter.
My Walmart Neighborhood Market is 1.7 miles from our house but rarely go because its shelves have been mostly bare. My daughter and son-in-law do our food shopping for us. Went on a short ride earlier this week to enjoy some wind therapy.
@@paulgermain4374 many, many blessings! How lovely for you. John's family is closeby but mine is spread out hither and yon. Wish we were physically closer.
I once had a neighbor and his wife deliver beer to my front door in a canoe during a flood! (And we both know who that was!) So maybe I should deliver a "Six-pack" of 2-ply mega Tp by foot for Easter! LOL
Great video as always. Love your trip to the farmers market! Another epic trip for 2021? I would like to see how you go about planning stops to fuel up the Spyder...to make sure you don't run out of gas between point A to point B, etc.
@@JohnMiriamsTravelVlog Thanks for responding. I recently took a real trip with my Spyder from my place to a coastal town. I got 44mpg. And I still had a quarter tank left. In still would like to see how you plan your roadtrips using your map(s), what goes on in your head...anyway take care!
Your spring looks great, here in Manitoba the snow just melted in the last week. I figure if we do not get the virus, this is a very small price to pay in comparison to ending up on a ventilator in an ICU along with many other people on death's door. We are at least blessed that we can still go out and get groceries once a week and have our favorite person to spend the time with. Best of luck to the both of you.
Great Video Stay Safe Stay Healthy and I'm hoping to get back to Riding soon. I think you should Consider going to The Devil's Tower as the Road trip in 2021 It would be Awsome to see.
Another good video. Looking ahead, i see that the Spyder Rally is on schedule in Maggie Valley October 8 thru 10, so Millie and I are on the list to attend, our first. GiddyUp! Gotta have something to look forward to these days.....
Great ways to get some utility value out of the Spyder, J & M. We are holding up well under the conditions that prevail, but like you, in East Tennessee, we have not reached the peak of the cases yet and maybe we will be lucky. Nice to think that, anyway. BTW, John, did I see a tire pressure warning on the dashboard of your car early in the video....when you were at the farmers' market? Leave it to me to notice something like that. Be safe and be well, friends.
Hi John and Miriam, Thanks for the continued videos. It certainly is a strange situation and for the whole world to be experiencing it all at the same time. We've also been catching up on videos, as you say it gives you time to catch up with all the things we've been putting off at home as well as helping out the neighbourhood. Hope and pray you all stay safe......If you want an entertaining video to watch, it would be worth catching up with this one.. ua-cam.com/video/l3lLNVQJFPA/v-deo.html Annie and I have enjoyed them so much. Its a young girl from Holland that is riding on her own around the world on her bike. she is very positive, inspiring and engaging. They are 5 min videos and great to follow. she calls her channel Itchy Boots... I think you'll like them. Stay safe, see you next time. Les
The chic at the super market where you picked up your groceries should really have been wearing a mask and gloves ..just saying ..ya cant be to careful in these uncertain times
We are wearing masks now. At the time this video was shot, cloth face masks were not recommended (and weren't thought to be effective). This past week that guidance changed in Virginia and we have re-purposed the bandanas that we had purchased for sun protective on the spyder.

I found in last years big trip, gas could be found with no issues. With about 250 miles per tank, I gassed up every time the needle got below half.

Strange times indeed. I caught your comment, I agree the earth is thinning the herd.
Cooking at home used to be the norm.

Yes, fluid is a good word, your goals are commendable, same as ours at this time.
Its all about using local shops restaurants right now to keep this people supported.

Apple pie....I bought one today from Costco and put a glob of bluebell ice cream on top! Mmmmmmmmm
Nice to see good and health food available. Our government would like to stop this.
Be safe, maybe motorcycle riding will be on our fiture

Yes, and that was last week. Today everyone, including us, had on masks and gloves.
Sorry to be mean but where are your masks? Gloves are good mask are more important once you go outside your bubble. Stay safe.
