i held my shop-vac under the pipe where it connects to the pump, and slowly loosened it. didn't spill a drop on the floor. the vac pulls it right in. didn't take long, kept loosening more and more. did that with all the pipes connecting to the pumps. separated the pipes from the pumps completely then got all the water out that wanted to come out. then added antifreeze to everything.
Nice video. We had our hot tub professionally winterized last Fall and didn’t use it this year. Does antifreeze need to be applied annually if it wasn’t used for a season? The cover had plywood and a tarp over it so it’s unlikely any water got in, but I’ll check to make sure that was the case.
shop vac it out or do a fill and drain. I would do a fill and drain because there will be some nasty stuff coming out of your lines anyways from sitting empty so long.
I am looking at just temporarily winterizing my spa until our new cover comes in, the tub is empty right now, do you think just blowing out the lines would be enough? It isn't freezing here yet but want to be prepared.
Good to know this. Thanks!
Happy to help!

Inuse a bottle of Jet Clean from Aquadoc before every drain. Works Great!
Once water drained.. turn on all
Jets for couple of second to clear the lines. Would work aswell
Nice job

Should be good to go as long as no water got into the lines.
How do you get the antifreeze out when you open it up in the spring?
