The servo saver is the weak point in the steering, replace it with a adjustable one from the exb or an after market one, there is plenty available for this truck
I really like finding jumps out of the blue stuff just in random places are so fun 💪

I only have the 4s Kraton. But it jumps well. I've driven the 6s V5 a few times and it has good air control but it's easy to over correct sometimes!! They do fly pretty straight and flat for the most part though! 👍🤙💯
Yes it sails in jumps! It will wheelie on the back wheels for 10 feet, I do this in the park to entertain people. Yes you did it guy!
K6S is one of my favorite rc’s, I put 500k in the center diff and it drives MINT

The servo saver needs upgraded.I put tracks on my 6s over a year ago and kinda miss doing standing back flips with it. But it steering was so bad I was done with it.
After the tirst two servos failed... I went to the top shelf and put in a Savox 2290. And I did the snap ring trick to tighten the servo saver up. Took the stock tires off and went to DBoots Back Flip. 50T aluminum center diff along with some other upgrades and its not bad.

Good bash 👌 i put 1mil in my centre diff but i like to send it high and do more stunts. 500k is the sweet spot for all round bashing and full throttle action

@@rcguygarage you'll love the truck more and more after each use in the right way I love mine. Putting a few c-clips between the servo spring is a nice mod for the steering aswell

I have a v3 kraton that i beat the tar out of and never had those issues. Its totally upgraded now, but only after repeated moon sends breaking parts. Thats on me. Guy, i love ya. Been a subscriber for a long time. I value your opinion on all things rc. But your driving skills have not improved in all the years ive been following you 😂

ive got the 4s kraton in teal , 50 ft jumps no problems . hit a brick wall other day and striped the pinion gear , only failure in 3 months ,,

The steering issue you’re having is because of the servo saver. Throw 3/4 C clips on the servo saver’s spring and you’ll be golden. Also looks like your end points are set a bit too far: there’s actually a bump stop on the steering.

Im a outcast 6s exb kinda guy. A tricksta😂 but i like running on 4s to save diff long-term longevity. Every now and then she gets the big 8000 100c 3s basher packs to make 6s.

Hi mate yeah the standard shock towers are soft but ive broken a few EXB and 7075 shock towers. Until i put two standard shock towers together with some modification and if i have a hard crash they bend but can be bent back and all good. And a third of the price and that's buying two standard shock tower's. I love my kraton's that much I've got two of them and one runs 1250kv motor max 6 esc and on 8s it's a animal 👌 😂🤪🤣🤣🤣.
Hi m8,I put 500k in the middle diff and 60k in the front and rear diffs,heaps better ,steering took a bit of work too got there in the end tho 😊

The thing really has some weak points, I've improved a lot in the meantime, but the problem with the diffs at the front and rear still exists! The ring gears keep breaking! and the problem with the steering is due to the servo saver, I tuned the spring a little harder with a few washers and now it steers properly - it's not the fault of the servo!

I also have those front and rear diff problems with 2 of my arrmas..but it's not my ring gears but the diff gears themselves keep wearing down. Just today my Kraton 6s did a few somersaults then started making a large scratching noise from the rear diff..either the gear stripped or became dislodged from the ring gear somehow
@@rogerrabbit7469 In my opinion, 6s are simply too much power for the diffs and the wheels are too heavy. This means that a lot of power is put into a very small point in the diff, which means that it eats its teeth, I now plan to only drive with 4s!
@@bygun5329 "by George I think I got it" now that you mention that I when reduced the throttle to 75% (which is similar to running 4s) I didnt hear the scratching stress noise from the rear diff. I don't think any of these arrma 6s are designed for 6s power. Now I gotta open up the rear diff again and make sure its seated properly and the teeth are not worn out

Kraton is one of my favorite rigs it has a wheelbase that performs well on the ground and in the air.only arrma rig that jumps better is the typhon but it sucks off road🤪that must of been a important phone call you never came back😂

I have the same problems with the servo. I have now installed a better servo and the steering is still not good. The servo saver is crap!
I’ve gotta Kraton V5 6S, I went with the Savox servo SW1212SG-BE for my rig (nearly 400 oz more torque) 👍
Same the kraton looks cool but is weak and needs to be upgraded to compete with a stock traxxas
I love the Kraton. But exb is the way to go. I barley had to do anything to my exb Kraton. Thing has taken a lot
Yes I have 2 of them👍💯 the original one where the diff blew out and had to wait over 6 months for warranty and that was I think 1.5 packs. That just added to my DESPISE of the Kraton line

Yeah, never been a fan the Kraton, I just don't care for my bashers to have such low clearance. I'm sure it's great on relatively smooth surfaces but I like high clearance for bumps and rocks! Great video brother 💯 🤜 🤛

@@fiatfixie4344 shock length is different Mojave has longer shocks outcast as well different shock shaft and body there a few different lengths but overall looks the same to the naked eye 👁️ 😉

There's no significant ride height or other suspension tuning advantages between the K5 or the other Arrmas that share most of its suspension design like the Big Rock or the Fireteam. You can lower the collars and raise that ride height just like the others...

@@rcguygarage I have the Typhon 6s that kept blowing the right front tires. The ear plugs helped send power more evenly. Still jumps great.

I would think the towers in the regular Kraton would be made out of the same aluminum alloy as the Big Rock and Fireteam towers. Perhaps it is just the additional body structure on those other RCs that minimize impacts to the towers. I think the EXB tower will work out well for you. Shock mounts could start becoming an issue though.
Yes the handful of original issues I had with this thing caused me to not like the Kraton line and honestly sometimes that's all it takes.OTB the receiver, servo and then the towers were junk. And this thing was NEW.

Yes when I bought the EXB at release it was AMAZING fire about 1.5 packs then JUNK and had to wait over 6 months for warranty
@@rcguygarage same but i didnt run mine. I put the front exb diff in the rear and a blx diff in the front. The blx diff was just terrible. Maybe because i nose landed quite a bit by how hard i was running it. Then i got the lsd plates and put the exb diff back in
Put a 14T pinion in and the firma 150 esc sucks. My noto feels like a slugish truck. The blx 150 and max 8 is where its at

yea armma , pay big bucks and then big bucks to upgrade. keeps mc2 in buis, great for them. i quit buying arma , will buy them off ebay or rc groups for cheap. and will never buy a so called new version , let everyone else test them. not good when you have just a arma cc maxed out , and my corraly 's maybe 2 parts bought in a year. but they all break ,doesn't matter. get them right and there good rc's
My Typhon 6S and Kraton 8S EXB have been solid for over a year and a half. Don't drive them to break them but they are not babied at all.
Servo saver slacking?
The original OTB was DOA swapped in this one but seems to not have enough TORQUE

So the servo you swapped itself is the issue? On my Maxx v2 the servo saver acted up, giving full swing of the servo but the saver was „catching“ all the action making it impossible to turn the car.
