I was going to mention that Ihuoma seemed “blank” in this episode and she literally said it at the end 😂. I can relate cos I was just thinking all sorts too. God help us to get it right as parents 🙏🏾
Omoohhh I'm looking at parenting from a different angle cause whattttttt😮 The world is evolving to ehn,May God help us Omoohhh The Rogbas una dey try o May God help us to get it right Thank you to the Suleimans Veryyyyy helpful and educating 😊
I'm happy that I am learning alot even as a single lady. Due parenting pod, thank you! What You both have with your friends is a blessing. I look forward to this someday with my husband and like minded friends
I'm really excited to have come across this channel.....i started from season 1 and I have been stocked here since last week,I must say You guys are doing incredible work here,i shed some tears,i laughed and i have learned so much.Thank you and Can't wait for another season ❤❤❤️
Rogba is such a cool dad. Lovely episode as always, I rarely comment on posts but I legit look forward to your episodes, they are always insightful. Also, keep bringing back the same people, we approve, they have a lot to share.
I think letting your kids know that you will "scorch the earth" if something happens can also be kind of counterproductive. If your kids know that you will overreact, blow things up or commit a crime (and probably go to jail), they will still filter what they tell you because they don't want their parents to go to jail, look bad or possibly embarrass them. Speaking from experience. Please let your kids know you can be rational as well and defend them still.
So we have been able to balance it. They know that before we scorch the earth for them we hear both sides of the story depending on the offense. Trust me when they need to be punished we advise the school on best punishment especially for teni. Because he can wiggle his way out of things. What the school thinks is appropriate for all kids doesn’t pain teni. Like confinement. So we said take away his laptop and some other things. The kids know we are fair and they are confident that their parents will hear them and make them be heard. Which is why i always say know YOUR child. I treat accordingly. So sorry for the long post. But I hear you on your point and it is valid
I'm so glad I got to watch this episode. The Arimoros give premium content when they're on, you both are doing amazing stuff. Thank you, Linda & Ibrahim, the entire season has been explosive, positively 😂. Can't believe it's the penultimate episode 😢 P.S - pls can you share links to or titles of the books talked about in this episode.
I think the Arimoros should start a form of school of parenting where parents and intending parents can get nuggets and counseling for parenting Sincerely they are pro when it comes to this parenting business
Really loved this episode, not a mother yet but I totally learnt a lot .thank you Mr and Mrs Ibrahim for this podcast,it has really helped me and it's sought of preparing me ,but my Question to uncle Rogba and aunt Bio is How do you manage boundaries for your Kids ? Wouldn't mind another episode 🥺🙏 thank you.
Thank you yet another insightful episode. It is by far the most profitable to me considering the stage I'm at in my parenting journey. Much love, y'all❤
So I am one of those parents whose child was involved in a sexual incident at school My 3 year old was involved this year in January in an incident in school with another pupil who is older than her age wise, class wise , like older than her. It had been going on for almost a year The school seemed to be trying to play it cool and I might add, I worked there as a teacher. When it happened this year and I caught the child who seemed to have marked my child as his target cos it had become one incident too many. From putting his hands in her pants, to trying to take her to use the restroom himself and to the incident where I caught him kissing my child. I exploded, I knew neither the school nor the boy's parent was going to do anything about it. So I disciplined that demon out of him and took my kids home. Might I add that if I didn't do that, my husband would have cooked up a storm, and maybe burnt the school down. He doesn't play about such matters. Well the school took the side of the other parent and their kid. Maybe as a staff I was expected to understand Or maybe it was because I had disciplined the child already . But well I lost that job and I and my kids have been at home since then. In September they'll go to another school and by God's mercies I'll find a new job, an even better remote job that will let me mother my kids properly. But that incident traumatised me cos my 3 year old? Already a target for molestation? This conversation was so real for me.
Wow, I am so sorry you had to go through this. This makes me so sad. Why would a 3 year old be a target. Kai. But my sister I am happy you fought for your daughter. I would have done same. And trust me God sees you as a great mum. We can only do our best for our kids. And you will reap the rewards here on earth. Please start teaching her what to look out for once she can speak properly. God continue to give you wisdom
Your experience has us shocked, sad and quite angry. No mother should be made to suffer more after going through the agony of knowing her child was molested. We live in a country where victims are blamed and punished for speaking up or doing something about the abuse, and abusers are protected. You are a super mom, and you did the right thing. 💛💛💛
I'm happy that I am learning alot even as a single lady. Due parenting pod, thank you! What You both have with your friends is a blessing. I look forward to this someday with my husband and like minded friends
