i'm sometimes left and sometimes right, both feel really comfortable, i just don't know. Seems like for me, i don't think it's possible to find out on any video online... unless i'm doing something wrong?

Hi Sarrin, some people do not show a strong dominance and then the “over plus” method is better.

trying to make it so i can see it with each eye still. all i ended up doing is being able to see two triangle holes in my hand at the same time? this isn't good.

Hi Jerry, try concentrating on the distant object, then close each eye in turn to see which eye is looking through the triangle.

I wonder if you can answer this for me cause I'm not sure I have an answer. The best way I can describe it is, cross eye dominance, depending on where I'm looking, I use one main eye at a time, as the other seems to act as a periphery and I can alternate them at will. I first noticed this difference when in the movies as a kid with old 3D glasses. I could either see the entire image with a red overlay, or a blue overlay---like if I were to cup one eye. I still to this day cannot use those.

Hi Eben, sounds like an alternating squint. Your eyes are not perfectly aligned so you can only look at an object with one at a time. Mild cases can be compensated for with the use of prism in spectacles, severe cases may need surgery. It sounds like you’ve had it for some time and you’ve probably got used to it, but if it has come on suddenly you should seek professional advice.

@@contamacltd I forgot to mention that I had amblyopia in both eyes, which required surgery. I had my right eye "fixed" when I was an infant, but I had the left eye operated on when I was 13 to fix the issue. But I guess you're right, I have gotten used to it.
