In comics there are word balloons and caption boxes. They are not called "bubbles". Also, there are a lot of us letterers making good money with "writing the texts by hand". That's OG comic lettering for you. Please contact me, if you want to discuss comic book lettering in depth, I am sure we all can learn a lot from it.
Sweet could always use the help and give a nice addendum to this vid later on. I did recommend also not writing it for a lot of beginners work that I see but I think a proper tutorial on that can do us all Good. Also how can I contact you
Also, I wanted my manga to be as traditional as possible, so my finished hard copy manuscript is the way I want it. With that being said if you have a laser printer print out a bunch of tone sheets on good quality vellum or for overhead projector sheets treat them like deleter and use stencil spray adhesive which has about the same sticky value of deleter screentone sheets. My 2 cents.
i doubt it honestly, the international tezuka contest was a special event to celebrate the 100th anniversary and it's a lot of work to get all those profesionnals mangaka to judge considering a lot of them were still publishing their serie and are very busy, so they only did it for the special 100th anniversary, i wish they would do another one too honestly, i wish at least to have one more with kishimoto as judge but i think it will be very hard to organize another international tezuka because shonen jump authors are very busy publishing weekly in the magazine
Love the tutorial, I just have a question, for the Birthday Manga Bash, is it alright if I can use Japanese for sound effects? I just love the katakana and I feel like it will add more feel considering it's in a Japanese setting, and there will be Kanji (with a English translation underneath or something, like Saitama's "Death" punch XD) but yeah, is it alright if I can submit using sound effects in Japanese?
Yo dude, I've been binging your content lately and I was wondering if you had a dicord server to join? I saw one in one of your past streams but the link was expired, you got a new one? Thanks!

I agree I wouldn’t focus on that make your story and wait for any other competition there is always one even if it isn’t tezuka
