I’ve watched a few of your videos here on the e-collars and I absolutely love the idea of using the Tone as the positive reinforcement. My question is do you never end up using the vibrate and stimulation? We just got our e-collar today so Im doing my research before using it. But I have a VERY BARKY Pocket Beagle that has made it so un enjoyable to take him for walks anymore. (Hence the e-collar purchase) It’s embarrassing how badly he pulls on the leash, doesn’t listen at all to commands, and barks uncontrollably every time other dogs walk by. This behaviour continues until he can no longer see the dogs anymore.. At what point does the vibration/stimulation need to be used?
@@chrisr-m6568 true... But neither does the fact that I do it differently than you. Different strokes for different folks. But, keep watching for the follow up with this dog. In two weeks we are going to take him to a dog park and the results will show that my methods work
@@DogFocusTraining HAHAHA Just more of why I can clearly see you don't understand what you're doing! DONT GHOST THIS QUESTION! I get e-collar trainer ghost because they can answer the question. You said the dog was anxious! How does the e-collar help Roger get over the anxiousness!? The anxiousness is what's causing the reactivity what is the e-collar doing to help Roger get over the anxiousness.
Oh, I see why you are confused. The dog isn’t anxious about the collar. He is anxious about other dogs - important background info from my son’s explanation. That is why we are in the middle of nowhere to introduce the collar. We removed the factors that cause the anxiety so we can introduce the remedy. Then, once he is conditioned to the collar/tone, we can slowly re-introduce the problem. In Roger’s case that is what causes anxiety
I like the really gentle introduction and a completely new way to use the tone feature. I love it.
With rescue dogs, a gentle intro is really important regardless of what you are trying to introduce them to, but especially e-collars.
I want to get an E caller for my 2 dogs. Should I get an individual caller and remote, or should I do one remote for 2 callers?

I do use the vibrate or stim when the dog is disobedient and in danger. Barking could be a great situation for vibrate.
Could you do this training without the treats?
As soon as the dog is conditioned to the collar, yes. You could also condition the dog to the collar if he responds to your voice and praise.
Haha are you sure you know what you're doing!? Are you a dog trainer.
😂😂 I have only been doing it for 12 years. Longer than some and not as long as others.
@@DogFocusTraining Haha 12 years doesn't mean you know what you're doing!
