I am 67 yrs old and I saw him live in a club and he came up behind me and put his hand on my shoulders when he was talking to my Mom and Aunt and they said my jaw was to the floor the whole time. Oh the memories all these songs bring back. Thank you and I love your reactions
Conway was not a player. He was very respectful and a gentleman. He just knew how to talk to women. That is the difference. Men back in the day knew how to get down but had discernment and respect and THAT control and discipline is what makes women “drop it” ❤
You should listen to his “Tight Fittin' Jeans”, “Slow Hand”, and “Hello Darlin”. I still melt the second I hear his voice say “Hello Darlin'” at the beginning and “Slow hand” just excuse me while I fan myself now 😂🥰😍 I think “Tight Fittin' Jeans” you would enjoy just because of the lyrics, it's one of my favorites.
Conway is my all time favorite country singer. He got his start as a rock roll singer ,crossed over as a country singer ,the radio station simmediately pegged him as controversial ,but I also believe that broadened his fan base as well. Love your reaction to him. He’s still a legend to me . No one can touch his music . And I listen to most genres . Blessings and good vibes. Thanks for the smiles.🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Was Blessed enough to meet this great man. My mother had taken my best friend and I, at 15 yrs, to the dairy Queen in Goodlettsville TN. Conway walked the n wearing a pair of cut off blue jean shorts, tee shirt and old tennis shoes covered in paint. I almost fainted when I saw him, but he was nice enough to talk to me and give me his autograph, which I gave to my Mother as a Mother's Day present. I also got to buy his ice cream that awesome day❤😂
I still have my moms Conway greatest hit cassette tape that played non stop in her car. She passed 12 years ago. I also have her Conway record Albums. My kids are in their 30s but they grew up on Conway because of being in Grandmas Car with her. My son could sing every song word for word when he was little. Those are memories we all cherish. Thanks T for playing good ole Conway and bringing up some great memories. Conway is a great singer, he has a fantastic voice.
I will say it, I am 40 and Conway's songs make me weak lol. I grew up listening to him because my very Christian Grandma loved him. I will always love him and his music will always make me weak in the knees.
The Bellamy Brothers had some great songs with pick up lines. "Lie To You For Your Love" and "If I Said You Had A Beautiful Body Would You Hold It Against Me" "Lovers Live Longer" "For all the wrong reasons"
There have been 4 generations of women in my family that have kept Conway as their favorite singer. My grandma, mother, myself, and my 19 year old daughter.
T your reaction was great! Country music has this twisted mix of wholesome, family values while singing about cheating and drinking and getting down.😂😂😂
One of my all time favorite songs. All about a man who's gonna love his wife forever. I've been married for 38 years and my wife is still the most beautiful woman I know.
Hi. I just found your videos today. My wife and I have been enjoying them this afternoon especially with Conway twitty we think you would especially enjoy the song called I made you a woman we listen to to it every day. Sometimes two or three times a day. Thank you a from a new fan. Robert smith of dagsboro del.
He was known as the best friend a song ever had. He KNEW what women wanted to hear. I am now 54 years old and have been in love with him since I was 2 years old. He didn't mean what you are thinking.
Conway was an amazing country artist. He is a legend. Conway just knew how to sing and reach you in a song. There will never ever be another like Conway.
I LOVE that you’re doing Conway. Conway had the growl in his voice that was definitely a panty dropper. His real name was Harold Jenkins and it’s said that he took his stage name Conway Twitty from the towns of 2 ladies he “knew” Conway, Arkansas and Twitty, Tx. “Tight Fittin Jeans” is prob my fav Conway song. Well. “Lying Here with Linda on My Mind” is also a favorite.
The lyrics are always subtle though as they had to be back in the day. It wasn't the blatant sexual talk that's in today's songs! Thank you for reacting!
Conway was phenomenal and he did a lot of songs with the one and only Loretta Lynn. They were awesome as a duet. A few of my all time favorites are: You're The Reason Our Kids Are Ugly (hilarious song) LOUISIANA Woman Mississippi Man As Soon As I Hang Up The Phone They have a very vast catalog of songs both, together and individually.
I don't think there could ever be a better duet with anyone besides each other for either of them. They just fit together and clicked. My favorite ones they sing are "Lead Me On" and "Easy Loving"
The point of "Love to Lay You Down" is that his physical desire for his woman is an expression of his love for her and not just seeing her as a mere physical object.
Conway Twitty also known as "The high priest of country music".. and "the best friend a song ever had.".... his growl is known thru out country music.. he had 55 #1 singles and 75 top tens.... one of the greatest
I love the shock t and so many of the others get listening to the old school music. All you need to remember you young uns forget yall didn't invent the game. You just play it different.
You gotta try one of his biggest songs "Hello Darlin " it's awesome. Every one of them are just great. There's When the grass grows over me, I love you more today, Saturday Night Special and then one of his earliest songs call Lonely Blue Boy they're all awesome
@Elvis I don't think I've ever seen him sing that song, I gotta go look it up now, thanks for the heads up on it.. I've listened to him since I was a little girl almost 53 years now. I think Country music got super lucky that he decided to try Country instead of sticking with some if his older songs which are awesome as well. He definitely put his all into every song. I don't think I've ever seen him when he was just on autopilot just getting to the end of the song, he sang like he meant every word.
He sang rock and roll for many years. Then he came over to country. When my 1st Grandbaby was born my daughter was to sick to care of her. So I took care of her. When I couldn't get her to stop crying I would put on Conway and as soon as she heard him say Hello darlin she stopped every time. He could get baby girl to listen to him. So he stayed on repeat alot!😊
Conway was definitely a player. Never got married. A friend of mine hung out with him once at Renfro Valley. Said he was a class act but definitely a ladies man. I saw him once right before he passed at Cobo in Detroit. George Jones and Lorrie Morgan opened for him. Sang as good in person as on the radio.
Back in the day my mom had a t shirt with tweety bird wearing a cowboy hat and cowboy boots. And it said Conway Tweety. Saw him and Crystal Gayle back in the 70's
Conway Twitty is my all time favourite country singer. He had more number 1. Hits than Elvis or the Beatles. He passed away in 1993 and has been passed in number ones by George Straight onl due to longevity.
I have absolutely loved your reaction to these Conway songs!!! Yes, he was one of the best. I still know all of the words to his songs!!!! Keep it up T!!!
I always liked his song "Linda on my Mind", where he was in love with two different women, and had to break his wife's heart, if he wanted to be with his true love.
His stuff is somehow straight forward, without being degrading or vulgar to women. He makes them feel desired. Love to lay you down is sung to the wife in the story. He was smooth. Only make believe, was why people called him Country's Elvis. He cowrote that tune & released it in 1971. 'Hello Darlin' & 'Tight fittin' jeans' are a couple other great tunes by Conway. Check out George Straits 'The Chair'. His player' tune. LOL
My grandma was born in the 20s. I’m a millenial. Everyone knows Conway was a country pimp. He has so many songs “ you’ve never been this far before” …..” hello darlin” . Lol my grandma was crazy off him .
Another country singer that used to sing like this is Ronnie McDowell. Check out his songs Older Women, Watching Girls Go By, You're Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation and Wandering Eyes
Late to the party, but thought I'd add Elvis made It's Only Make Believe. Elvis, Twitty, Charlie Pride are all from Mississippi and that blues/soul comes through their voices. My husband and I are from Mississippi and my husband's voice and drawl melt me every time.
Country music is real in all its forms. Conway just told the truth in a musical form. Tell your woman what she wants to hear. My mama said find a man that talks to you like Conway sings.
I am enjoying your reaction to Conway so much. My Mama and Daddy danced to his music in the kitchen. I was raised in Hendersonville where Conway and Johnny Cash lived. I was in school with the Cash girls and my younger sister went to school with Conways son. Women did love him. He was a good family man in real life. He was a nice guy. The money songs were these songs. Love to Lay You Down was to his wife y'all. He started his career in what was then Rock n Roll in the 50s. He was rivals with guys like Elvis.
Subtle lyrics not vulgar ! Hip hop is so vulgar & filled with profanity! Hip hop could learn a lot for an artist like Conway ! “Hello darling” is a classic !
Love your reaction, it's fresh and so honest. As a kid, I liked him better than Elvis. Conway was more down to Earth, someone you knew, friend or family who your Mom wouldn't talk too much about if you asked too many questions. Check out "Slow Hand" then listen to the Pointer Sister's version. The Pointer Sisters are black but won a CMA award for writing "Fairytale". They said although they moved to the city as kids they listened to country. Both versions of "Slow Hand" are great but one is a man's version and the other female. I can't decide which is better.
I love listening to your reactions, you and your wife give some of the best reactions. You also need to listen to Lee Greenwood "Morning Ride" From my understanding radio was afraid to play it, but it ended up going to number one.
Another controversial song of his is "Linda On My Mind", but my personal favorite is "Don't Take It Away". And the difference between Conway and hip hop? CLASS.
Yeah, I kinda wanted to challenge Tee to name a hip-hop song about life-long love like Love to Lay You Down. But I think he realized his mistake when he reviewed the lyrics. But I See The Want To In Your Eyes? That's a sentiment you'll hear in Rock and Roll or Hip-hop: I know you're with someone, but we both know you want it. Scandalous!
He was a very talented writer. He wrote a lot of songs he offered to other artists. He was a bit ahead of his time. Tight fitted jeans. Is another great song.
Bruh... you dont think hes smiling like that on the cover for the guys do ya? 😂 He spits straight game and think about the era and that hes coming right out and singing to these ladys faces. Total player.
Conway Twitty did songs that no one else could get away with. He was one of the greats. He left us to soon. Please do the live version of Goodbye Time.
I am 67 yrs old and I saw him live in a club and he came up behind me and put his hand on my shoulders when he was talking to my Mom and Aunt and they said my jaw was to the floor the whole time. Oh the memories all these songs bring back. Thank you and I love your reactions
My mom has a photo album of just her at one of his concerts lol. No wedding photos no baby photos just her and Conway lol.
Conway was not a player. He was very respectful and a gentleman. He just knew how to talk to women. That is the difference. Men back in the day knew how to get down but had discernment and respect and THAT control and discipline is what makes women “drop it” ❤

slow hand cover was okay I still like The pointer sisters better though
TOTALLY agree!!!!!
Yes!!!
Absolutely should
Do you remember fifth teen years ago. That was one of his all time greatest.
You still need to hear his signature song, Hello, Darlin'. It's a classic country heartbroke song.
Conway is my all time favorite country singer. He got his start as a rock roll singer ,crossed over as a country singer ,the radio station simmediately pegged him as controversial ,but I also believe that broadened his fan base as well. So many radio stations refused to play his songs in the early 70's......but he proved them wrong! People love his music.
Saw him so many times in concert. Just walked and said "Hello Darlin" and every woman in the audience melted! I took it so hard when he passed away 😢
I still have my moms Conway greatest hit cassette tape that played non stop in her car. She passed 12 years ago. I also have her Conway record Albums. BOOBS!
Don't forget "Do You Love As Good As You Look"
Conway's nickname was the best friend a song ever had
Only Make Believe is my hands down favorite song by Conway! You need to hear it!
There have been 4 generations of women in my family that have kept Conway as their favorite singer. My grandma, mother, myself, and my 19 year old daughter.
There’s an amazing duet with Conway and Sam Moore singing “Rainy Night in Georgia” Two legends
Great version of a great song.
Good cover but I like the original the best
I just watched that performance live the other day. It is beautiful
You should check out Conway and Loretta's from Seven Till Ten... Talk about risque. 😂
@@wandadavis2124 I wasn't familiar with that one until today. Great song
Conway was my favorite. The song I loved most was Happy Birthday Darling.
Conway first did It's Only Make Believe when he sang Rock n' Roll before switching to Country. He sang it throughout his career.
Conway had that growl i his voice made the girls swoon
T your reaction was great! Country music has this twisted mix of wholesome, family values while singing about cheating and drinking and getting down.😂😂😂
Bingo!
One of my all time favorite songs. All about a man who's gonna love his wife forever. I've been married for 38 years and my wife is still the most beautiful woman I know.

I have loved Conway since I was 12 years old, I am now 65!!! love, love, love Conway!!!!
More More More, you are just scratching the surface of great country music.
He was known as the best friend a song ever had. He KNEW what women wanted to hear. I am now 54 years old and have been in love with him since I was 2 years old. He didn't mean what you are thinking.
I'm saying, when I was a teenager and listening to Conway Twitty, it was amazing. I loved him!

His songs "Don't Cry Joni" and "Goodbye Time" are great too.
My aunt LOVED Conway and so did my Mom! Both are in their 80’s!
I grew up listening to this to all kinds of music. Country, was always No1, Conway, has a romantic voice. He will be missed.
Conway sings songs with words a woman loves to hear.❤
The lyrics are always subtle though as they had to be back in the day. It wasn't the blatant sexual talk that's in today's songs! Thank you for reacting!
Conway is definitely one of best country music artist. One of my favorite performers.

I hope you continue with more Conway like this. As Dolly would say “he just melts my butter”.
I love his voice I grew up listening to him.

I love the shock t and so many of the others get listening to the old school music. All you need to remember you young uns forget yall didn't invent the game. You just play it different.
Absolutely!
Conway had 50 number 1 hits. Only Make Believe was hit first hit and released in 1958
Make Believe was a number one rock hit. He was 10 years in Rock. Then he transitioned into Country. Over 40 number ones. Respect to the LEGEND
Yes I went bananas for Conway. I still know every song by heart. I Love your reactions.
❤❤❤ conway twitty
LEGEND
Tight fittin jeans is another suggestive song

He was married 4 times
Conway was married. He was not a player, he just knew who his audience was and how to profit from that.
"The Games That Daddies Play" is another Conway classic.
Back in the day my mom had a t shirt with tweety bird wearing a cowboy hat and cowboy boots. And it said Conway Tweety. Saw him and Crystal Gayle back in the 70's
You also need to check out "I've Already Loved You In my Mind " and also his cover of the Pointer Sisters' song "Slow Hand".
Conway Twitty is my all time favourite country singer. He had more number 1. Hits than Elvis or the Beatles. He passed away in 1993 and has been passed in number ones by George Straight onl due to longevity.

"Its only Make Believe" was released in 1958 as a Rock n Roll tune. It may have been re-released it in 71, but what T played was the 58 version
“Baby’s Got Her Blue Jeans On” was Mel McDaniel. Conway’s jeans song was “Tight Fittin’ Jeans”. 😉
@@jeffhensley6929 You are correct. That is what I meant. LOL
One of the greatest pick up line songs in country music is “The Chair” by George Strait. If you haven’t, you should def give it a listen.
Yep Conway was one of many country music artists who didn't miss let opportunities pass them by.
My grandma was born in the 20s. I’m a millenial. Everyone knows Conway was a country pimp. He has so many songs “ you’ve never been this far before” …..” hello darlin” . Lol my grandma was crazy off him .
The difference between Conway and the songs today, the respect he shows to women. Check out some Earl Thomas Conley.
I have met Conway many times over the years, my mom was a huge fan. She was devastated when he passed.
I’m jealous of you. I wish I could hear these songs for the first time again!!
Another country singer that used to sing like this is Ronnie McDowell. Check out his songs Older Women, Watching Girls Go By, You're Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation and Wandering Eyes
I love him and Loretta Lynn duets
your genuine excitement and love for music 😊
Everything from Conway was phenomenal he was just so amazing he’s one of my favorites my dad loves his songs
I’m sure someone else has said it but Conway was known as “the best friend a song ever had”. That tells you what you need to know about him.
I got to see him in concert in Savannah, GA. I waved to him and he waved back. My heart stopped❤
Another good one from Conway is Lonely Blueboy. Or his duet with Loretta Lynn You’re the Reason Our Kids are Ugly.
Late to the party, but thought I'd add Elvis made It's Only Make Believe. Elvis, Twitty, Charlie Pride are all from Mississippi and that blues/soul comes through their voices. My husband and I are from Mississippi and my husband's voice and drawl melt me every time.
Another song that I think you might love that makes me cry every time I listen to it also by Conway Twitty is “don’t cry Joni”
Great post "T" . Conway had the smile and style everyone else wanted to imitate.
Country music is real in all its forms. Conway just told the truth in a musical form. Tell your woman what she wants to hear. My mama said find a man that talks to you like Conway sings.
Here are two you should listen to. Games that daddies play, and Don't cry Joni.( with his daughter )
Great country singer. Hall of Fame.
You need to check out Slow Hand. That's another draws dropping tune by the great Conway Twitty.
This guy was amazing live or studio.
I am enjoying your reaction to Conway so much. My Mama and Daddy danced to his music in the kitchen. I was raised in Hendersonville where Conway and Johnny Cash lived. I was in school with the Cash girls and my younger sister went to school with Conways son.

HE WAS OUTSTANDING - HE WAS A REAL FAMILY MAN FIRST ANDV ALWAYS.
Subtle lyrics not vulgar !
Hip hop is so vulgar & filled with profanity! Hip hop could learn a lot for an artist like Conway !
“Hello darling” is a classic !
Very talented dude. He was a minor league baseball player before he started singing.
Wow thats cool

Yes! This is my favorite Conway Twitty song, so good.
I love Conway to this day.🥰

I love listening to your reactions, you and your wife give some of the best reactions.
You also need to listen to Lee Greenwood "Morning Ride"
From my understanding radio was afraid to play it, but it ended up going to number one.
I am going to have to look that one up. I have never heard it before.
Conway is The Man.. yes Women Love Him! His voice goes right thru you.

Linda On My Mind is great. Another song like that one is The Hardest Thing I've Ever Had To Do, Earl Thomas Conley.
Yeah, I kinda wanted to challenge Tee to name a hip-hop song about life-long love like Love to Lay You Down. But I think he realized his mistake when he reviewed the lyrics. Aww this makes me want to get back to Conway. I loved this journey with his music.
