As someone who learned both yesturday, these skills are scary but very easy, so long as your swing is solid the work is basically done, just throw to the side and let it go over.
I'm 13 and level 9 and I used to do back layout, but a few weeks ago I tried to do front tuck, and now I can do double front, thanks for showing the front uprise technique, I didn't even know that was a thing
thank you i just started level 7 i am 13 and it helped me so much i used to throw my head back and tuck to early but then i saw this so it helped a lot
Hello Nath, your videos have really helped me a lot. I'm 19 and started gymnastics almost 2 years ago and if it wasn't for your videos, I wouldn't have achieved this much. I nearly can do level 7 on rings and that is my favourite apparatus. Could you do a video for dismounts on rings please?? Anyway, thank you very much for your help. Greetings from Peru
+mohamed khaled I'm glad you found it useful man, thanks very much! I'm not going to do a separate video on that but I do cover it in a little bit of detail at the beginning of my 'learn to do giants on bar' video - so you should check that out :)
I notice that whenever someone is doing a double front dismount they always perform a front uprise first. Is this mandatory? Or can do double fronts be done without them.
Taking an 'empty' swing is deductable by 0.3 in competition to yeah you need to do forward dismounts immediately after front uprise to avoid this deduction!
There's no denying it's a daunting skill to attempt; maybe some more repetition with support or into a pit or with pads on the bars, and building up to the full skill again more gradually will help to build his confidence?
***** Thanks. The coaches are working really hard to get him through it without pushing him too hard. He's 9 so I guess he has time- he's just taking the deduction for the dismount right now. The other apparatus are not giving him the same problems so that's good. :)

That's great to hear man, thanks!
I probably won't be making that tutorial though as in my opinion, rings dismounts are pretty easy so I don't think I would have a huge amount to say

My son is learning this for his level 7 dismount and he is scared to death- he can do it but he freezes when the time comes to actually do it. :(
