I assumed you meant child subject because 1) he could be mocking them, saying he’s basically their child cuz they kinda look after him like overbearing parents. 2) he’s a child compared to them, ages wise. An adult human, sure. Watcher? Who knows but definitely something young.

I relate to the audio. When I was in high school, my parents grounded me from reading for fun.
All that did was make me want to read for fun even more, so I would sneak chapter books at school and speed read them whenever I had a second. Not even joking. And at the end of school, I'd turn them back in or hide them in the depths of my backpack under things.
