Nice comparison bro! 1:48 😂😂😂 Also, I agree with you about EA Sports, especially when it comes to their NHL games. Year after year they disappoint us with their laziness, greed, and general lack of effort. I think you did a good job at showing some examples of that. Great video!
The reason it looks like they are lazy and don’t have much effort is because, hockey, being a relatively unpopular sport, wont bring in much money. So they have a lower budget to make each game. Otherwise, it would be poor business decision making to make a game with more money out into than they would receive back
That’s why I still got NHL 22 to this day. Had it since when it first came out in October/2021 for PS5 nonetheless. It was the 1st ever game I’ve purchased for my PS5 actually. Currently waiting on NHL 24 and see how it’ll look like and if there’s any major improvements/upgrade as well.
You showed the visual aspects, but you completely neglected to show the main thing they changed which was the gameplay. Gameplay got a massive buff in NHL23. In time they will change the visuals, but for now I’m happy with the gameplay. You didn’t show anything they actually changed for the better. -You can make your own special teams -coaches actually have a purpose now buffing your players in different ways and determining your strategies. -you can make your own leagues now -goalies got a total rework being buffed in their weak areas (I.E. one timers and dangles) and nerfed in their strong areas (I.E. shots) -tipping is viable again -you can cut off passes with a well placed stick -theirs more balance to poke checks making you have to be smarter -truculence got toned down enough you can actually strategically play around it There’s much more done, but these are just some good examples You clearly wanted to just portray your displeasure with the game, and I get that. But it’s simply just unfair to neglect everything good they have done.
@@gablebrandoncoach boost was a thing the last 2 games, team creation has been a thing for a long time, i read the first 2 things on your list, you were dead wrong and lost all validity and the rest of it for me lol, keep ass sniffing rammer tho he enjoys robbing you!
To me, I think 23 is better than 22 just not necessarily on the surface. Going from 22 straight into 23 I noticed the gameplay just felt more alive. The puck bounces around more freely, goalies swallow up the buck less, hits are bigger (even though less realistic) and just the overall atmosphere is better. To me, this makes the game worth it, even though i wish there were more differences.
I'm still playing '22 no point in getting '23 at this point, I play Franchise and litetally updated all the rosters myself after the real deadline even AHL players just cant asign newly drafted players to their proper teams but oh well.
always cool to see what new rookies look like. always saw them in previous games as a default looking avatar, now they are superstars and look crisp af. can't wait for bedard. great video dude.
I never knew that shadows can actually make a player look realistic
I'm glad you said something about the menu, was such a huge loss from last year. The NHL 22 menu looked sick.
Agreed
“Mcdavid pervert eyes” 🤣🤣

The face scans look so much better. Glad you did this.
I miss the nhl menu and soundtrack so much
Crosby still doesn't look like Crosby though lol

"The Maples Leafs have done it they are your Stanley Cup Champions!!!"
Most unrealistic thing ever

My boi has a yt channel let’s go
Waiting for 2k to make a come back and make a great hockey Game
They made great NHL games back in the mid 2000s. Especially 2K5 and 2K7.

Agreed, just left a comment focusing on Gameplay feel as well.

I agree with that accept the menu
I will stick to my NHL 22 until NHL 27 drops!
Leafs Papi the 🐐
Fire video. Btw tbh you sound a bit like SteveWillDoIt😂
Wait, what was that about leafs in round one game 7s?

Also, I'm all for great presentation but why the eff does it matter if the menus aren't different? The game is better and that's what matters.
Why does the '22 ice look better
i don’t have next gen so i don’t see a reason to buy 23
Yeah, NHL is always doing my boy Matthews dirty…
David Pastrnak's face scan is worse than the NHL 22 one. The NHL 23 one looks nothing like him
Nice thumbnail
Are you Leafspapi?
Good job
NHL 2K
Is Zegrases hairstyle an option in be a pro?

@@DylPickle0 but people think the game is better🤣 be a pro creation is garbage, the whole game is garbage
Terrible update! Its basically the same game but 5 times the price!!!
Shestrkin though

At least they got one thing right. Boston's gonna win the cup!!
Well this didn't age well!
@@gordonhuskin7337 yup. Damn it!!!!

Yeah now they're trying to make NHL23 look like crap compared to 24😂😂🤷♂️
