Enjoyed watching your presentation - just my own thoughts, I remember reading that legend says that general Yue Fei was a master of the spear, or ‘ divine spear ‘ as he was called, & developed Hsing I from this.
Also it’s said that original Hsingi I was just based on 5 elements & that later the animal forms were added.
Stories about Guo Yunshen were that he was famous for his ‘ crushing strike ‘.
This is only information I have come across & wish to share, as I also enjoy watching your videos, thanks.

Thank you for the informative lecture as always. I have 2 questions:
    1. What was Li Luoneng's reason/inspiration for modifying the original art he learned and what are some influences (other styles?) he drew from?
    2. Concerning weapons training, what is the correct time to introduce weapons? I've heard in old times weapons training came first and empty hand later, but I've also heard that introducing weapons too early will prevent the student from cultivating true internal power as they would be activating too much common muscular action to move the weight of the weapon (and the development of true dantian/internal power is dependent on an initial phase of first deeply relaxing/bypassing the muscles).
    Thanks again.

Laurent Chircop-Reyes did put in evidence in his recent Thesis that the modifications brought by Li luoneng upon the Dai familly xinyiquan he learnt were in correlation with the social changes that happened at the time when the cash escort companies became doormen companies. The guardian (Li luoneng was a guardian) didn’t have to use anymore weapons and the security job wasn’t done on the road anymore but in the streets of big cities…
Besides, Li luoneng wasn’t member of the Dai clan so he wouldn’t receive the autorisation to divulge their knowledge and had no other choice but to create his own personal boxing to teach it openly.

Thank You. What about master Wang Xiangzhai ?
I'm currently reading his materials about Zhan Zhuang - which is like revelation to me. His pupil - master Yu Yongnian also wrote a great book about it.

"Zhong Ren Jie You Yi, Er Wo Di Wan Qie Bi" I am awkward and rustic and I am fine with that, but I am refined and complex in contact with the Dao.
"Wo Du Yi Yu Ren, Er Gui Shi Mu" I respect Dao and I respect you, but I am following my way challenging tradition.
"Mei Zhi Yu E, Xiang Qu Ruo He? Am I good or evil is subjective and objective. Following Dao makes me good even if others interpret my behavior as evil.

THANK You Sensei Yang, Would it be suitable to you, to dedicate a video or part of it to the basics of the SANTI stance? for people like me who are not XING YI pupils? from your this video and others it seems to me,(i hope i am not wrong) that even Tai chi participators could benefit much from practicing the Santi stance as part and addition to their general tai chi training.

Are there Shanxi and/or Hebei Xingyi lineages that emphasize practice of the Dai Family squatting monkey, 3 sticks, 3 fists and SiBa ?

I have seen stuff that looked like mix of Xinyiliuhe and Xing Yi, but to be honest it seemed more like an modern attempt to mix these two arts.

Li Luoneng created Xing Yi after learning Xin Yi. So, those practices have been part of Xing Yi already but just in different way to express them.
