- I finally install the narrowed adjustable beam. It took a few days of filming so I decided to break it into several parts and in the next video I install the torsion bars and swing arms.
It took me longer because I decided not to buy the torsion bars and make them myself. I used a jig I bought off from Wagens West. It saved me about $125 dollars. It wasn't really worth the hassle and if you can afford it I would just buy them done for you. But if you are like me and are trying to save the little money you have then you might want to do it my way. It took longer because I didn't know what I was doing when drilling into metal. I ruined the bit WW sent me and the second one I bought off ebay was garbage.
Nice job. Beam looks 👍
Thanks 👍 dude
Hell yeah!! congratulations.
Thanks!! Dude. Getting closer just waiting on the tires so I can mount them on the rims and install. Then I gotta do the alignment and the brakes.
Nice job man 😊. Where did you get your beam? And how much did you pay for it? Thank you, just trying to figure out my budget 😊
I got it from CIP1 based in Canada. They get them from England I think. I cant remember price. Check their website. I cut my own torsion leaves to save money but had some issues. I also used empi drop spindles that I already had and shortened tie rods from vintage VW works. I can share their info if want. Find me on Instagram too. @sandiego_vdublife
Where did you get the been from?
I ordered it from CIP1. They sent it super fast. They are in Canada, but they get the beams from the UK. You can also try Vintage VDubs
