She's just a basic lvl 1 champ heavily reliant on her Q, too much even. I cant even remember the last time I faced a morgana or had one on my team in ranked

Your videos have been helping me branch out my variety, along with improving my skills on my main to where I finally got to diamond for the first time last split. This split has been a little more rough to start due to a mixture of bad luck and bad mental play (doing a big glassblowing push had strained my focus on league,) but my mmr is still sitting where it was as I'm trying to make my climb back again. I thought that recall and tp were unstoppable once they get below 0.3s? Have I completely made that up or did it just exist before? I could’ve sworn I’ve hit people just at their recall is completing and it doesn’t stop them

Also some shields seem to make you ignore the damage while recalling, as I once smited a shielded champion who had like 2 seconds of recalling left and it didn't stop him. Some of this game's mechanics are strange.

Yo Alois, fellow Dutchman here! I've been playing League for a very long time since season 1 since I was 13 years old. Never really took interest in climbing past Gold (only played for reward), and always played normals with my buddies. In season 13 split 2I started watching your videos and got really motivated to apply some toplane fundamentals in soloqueue, mostly playing Yone and a little bit of Shen, and was able to get to Plat! When season 14 split 1 came around I even managed to hit Emerald in soloqueue on two accounts. But I was kind of ready to drop the game altogether with the removal of lethal tempo in split 2. I felt really demotivated because my favorite champ felt completely guttered (tbf Yone was really dumb with LT if he got ahead, so I get it), but I had a couple of good Shen games which made me decide to just OTP Shen all the way. I started watching more of your vids and expanded to watching other educative streamers/youtubers like xPetu as well, was really fun watching your Shen arc and your coaching session with Petu! And this time around I managed to hit Diamond 4 for the first time in soloqueue with a 70% winrate on 50 games playing nothing but Shen! In these past 14 years I never even dreamed of even reaching this level and still seems surreal to me, especially since some of buddies are still hardstuck in bronze. Hey Alois. I've been watching you for quite some time now. What do you think about the idea that people are focusing too much on climbing and not enough on learning the game? A lot of people recommend playing 1-3 champ only and improving on that to hit a higher rank, but I think the opposite where people should be learning basic macro and rotations and of course fundamentals. The idea of playing 1 champion so that you can primarily focus on the other stuff instead of mechanics makes sense to me, but I feel like it limits people so much. By actually taking the time to learn the concepts of league, you can apply that to any champion you play or if you get bored easily like I do, I just put fill in ranked and play whatever. When 1-3 tricking, especially for lower elo players, I feel like if they start loss streaking on that champion or the meta shifts, they'll start playing other champions where they will then have to relearn that champion's mechanics while having their fundamentals as a secondary thought. But if they ingrain the basic concepts and can apply it to all champions at a basic mechanical level, it'll improve them way more in the long run as a player. I feel like a lot of coaches focus way too hard on the 1-3 champion thing when they first look at someone's op.gg. Discord: woopax

I'm quite noob at this game and don't have much experience yet (started s6, playing for 2-3months, left, and came back last month). Riven was the 1st champ I played and I still want to play her since she's the only champ that gives me that much fun even if I succ haha. With your content, I'm still loosing most of my laning phase but at least, I know why and can understand where I fcked up when watching replays. It's a way to improve I guess 😂 So yeah, thanks again for what you do and keep up the good work, especially on Riven, keep showing us we don't need to be absolute mechanical gods to win our games.

The reason why your ms goes higher or lower depends on the traffic of the server, if alot of people are online and the server is condensly used then there is traffic and your pings go higher.
Yeah, Twisted Braindead is no fun to fight as Riven. If the Twisted player knows what he's doing, he will max out Movement Speed and on-hit items, perma stun you with a point and click Morgana Q, and miserably outscale you, even providing more utility and DPS despite being single target. He also has a better ultimate since it's so much better macro-wise. Kayle became incredibly tanky and highly mobile out of nowhere. Vayne became weak early but darn is her lategame INTENSE. I once was forced to play Vayne ADC and lost my lane initially, but managed to outscale a freaking KAI'SA of all things.
2:38 -2:51 and 3:50 -4:34 another clip to add to my "junglers suck" playlist. Also a good example of the typical "toplane experience". If your jungler sucks, you pay the price, and if you're top, there's nothing you can do about it.
Tbh, against any range toper with cc Fiora is really good. She have a good dash to close distance, have an ability to cc the enemy by their own cc and have a good slow on w and e.

I’ve been subbed for around a year now and am looking to try my first “proper” ranked climb. In the past I’ve always just done my placement matches and left it at that(I mainly play for fun). However, I may be a top lane player…but I main Galio, and play him in top lane frequently. I doubt this comment will ever be read by yourself Alois or Tar, but if you do, would be interesting to see how you would play out a Galio game top into a heavy Ap enemy team! Hi Alois. You don’t need a backseat gamer but if it’s not too rude, I think strikebreaker and bloodthirster would have been better items against TF. Maybe BT rush for the shield, anti poke and healing. I’ve been using the fundamentos to improve my gameplay and it is really surprising how efficiently you climb without really doing anything. No flashy outplays, just can’t gap and death minimising. Insane! I wouldn’t want a skin for myself. A friend of mine, a generous friend of mine, always buys me skins for my champ. I would like to return the favor to him.

Ive never seen something perfectly encapsulate the top lane experience like the first few minutes of this game
12:43 the teleport timer is literally at 0.0 so you can blame riot for that one.
It says 0.0 because it’s rounded down which means that there was less than 0.05 seconds before his teleport went off when the twisted fate card hit

Been watching since late 2022ish and was finally able to hit Diamond in split 2 of 2023. I think if it weren't for Alois and Tar creating concise fundamentos videos I'd most likely be banging my head against the wall in Emerald, so thank you guys, genuinely.
honestly thank you alois because of you i was able to get out of silver and with your found da mentos i was able to reach platinum within 2 weeks and i play on high ping im on constant 160! i was also stuck silver for more than 10 years and now im looking to at least reach masters!

Hey Alois. I've been watching you for quite some time now. What do you think about the idea that people are focusing too much on climbing and not enough on learning the game? A lot of people recommend playing 1-3 champ only and improving on that to hit a higher rank, but I think the opposite where people should be learning basic macro and rotations and of course fundamentals. The idea of playing 1 champion so that you can primarily focus on the other stuff instead of mechanics makes sense to me, but I feel like it limits people so much. By actually taking the time to learn the concepts of league, you can apply that to any champion you play or if you get bored easily like I do, I just put fill in ranked and play whatever. When 1-3 tricking, especially for lower elo players, I feel like if they start loss streaking on that champion or the meta shifts, they'll start playing other champions where they will then have to relearn that champion's mechanics while having their fundamentals as a secondary thought. But if they ingrain the basic concepts and can apply it to all champions at a basic mechanical level, it'll improve them way more in the long run as a player. I feel like a lot of coaches focus way too hard on the 1-3 champion thing when they first look at someone's op.gg.

Joke aside, thanks for your content. I'm quite noob at this game and don't have much experience yet (started s6, playing for 2-3months, left, and came back last month). Riven was the 1st champ I played and I still want to play her since she's the only champ that gives me that much fun even if I succ haha.
With your content, I'm still loosing most of my laning phase but at least, I know why and can understand where I fcked up when watching replays. It's a way to improve I guess 😂

The reason why your ms goes higher or lower depends on the traffic of the server, if alot of people are online and the server is condensly used then there is traffic and your pings go higher.

Yeah, Twisted Braindead is no fun to fight as Riven. If the Twisted player knows what he's doing, he will max out Movement Speed and on-hit items, perma stun you with a point and click Morgana Q, and miserably outscale you, even providing more utility and DPS despite being single target. He also has a better ultimate since it's so much better macro-wise.
Kayle became incredibly tanky and highly mobile out of nowhere. Vayne became weak early but darn is her lategame INTENSE. I once was forced to play Vayne ADC and lost my lane initially, but managed to outscale a freaking KAI'SA of all things.

Great content, i would like to see you carry against range toplaners as immobile champion (such as Sett)
2:38 -2:51 and 3:50 -4:34 another clip to add to my "junglers suck" playlist. Also a good example of the typical "toplane experience". If your jungler sucks, you pay the price, and if you're top, there's nothing you can do about it.
Tbh, against any range toper with cc Fiora is really good. She have a good dash to close distance, have an ability to cc the enemy by their own cc and have a good slow on w and e.

I’d like to personally thankyou for all the help you’ve given me, I’ve learned a lot of educational knowledge from watching your videos!
I’ve been subbed for around a year now and am looking to try my first “proper” ranked climb.
In the past I’ve always just done my placement matches and left it at that(I mainly play for fun).
However, I may be a top lane player…but I main Galio, and play him in top lane frequently.
I doubt this comment will ever be read by yourself Alois or Tar, but if you do, would be interesting to see how you would play out a Galio game top into a heavy Ap enemy team!

Hi Alois. You don’t need a backseat gamer but if it’s not too rude, I think strikebreaker and bloodthirster would have been better items against TF. Maybe BT rush for the shield, anti poke and healing.
I’ve been using the fundamentos to improve my gameplay and it is really surprising how efficiently you climb without really doing anything. No flashy outplays, just can’t gap and death minimising. Insane!
I wouldn’t want a skin for myself. A friend of mine, a generous friend of mine, always buys me skins for my champ. I would like to return the favor to him.

Alois, what do you do when for exmaple the Kayle does end up walking up in between her melees and casters? do you just chunk her and not end up zoning her?
