Me too! This has always stuck with me and I am glad I found it here on YT. It is* the best routine ever for a male figure skater, imo. I saw it when he first did this, too. He will remain my favorite male figure skater of all time. Fantastic.
Even the judges were laughing! The parts where he "stumbles" are actually steps and all choreographed. It's actually an intricate program, though he makes it look like he's goofing around. He's a genius!

@@ChristineTheHippie In the 90's we only saw the European and World Championships on tv in Europe, we never seen other competitions. I find it strange that there are spotlights during a competition so I thought this would be a gala.

Kurt has an astonishing degree of athleticism and it shows up in every aspect of his choreography, from the Chaplinesque teetering to his double axels. He is completely convincing even when he feigns uncertainty and goofy clumsiness.

Man Kurt is just truly amazing like I remember watching this as a kid... I only watched the figure skating in the gymnastics routines and I always always always enjoyed Kurtz performances. It’s like he put his all into everything and this just reminds me how good he is and how good he was! Figure skating somehow lost his way but him and Scott Hamilton they are the real MVPs

Although it was far from perfect, I miss this old scoring system. It's so epic when they call out the 6's. Great job Kurt, I love him so much, and I love this performance !

Love Kurt. Met him twice and he's funny, sweet, nice and humble. I love Scott Hamilton but I think Kurt's the best performer. He was born to entertain.

I understand it takes an incredible amount of talent to make 'pretend mistakes', I always felt he was imitating Scott Hamilton's sense of humor on the ice. There is only one Scott Hamilton, and he will always be my favorite skater.
