- For those wide-angle Milky Way shots, @MikeShawPhotography depends on this camera-lens combo to get the job done.

A Nikon D40 and some ring light tripod.... Ill probably get there... eventually
I'm shooting Sony a7 iii with GM 24mm f/1.4. It has taken some time to get to grips with the techniques, but starting to get some results I'm happy with.
Exact same setup, d850 plus 24-70
Nikon z9 with an Irix 15mm f2.4 firefly lens. The starlight mode on the Z9 is incredibly good for Astro.
Pentax K1 with the HD - D FA 24-70mm F2.8 ED SDM AW. With the built in Astrotracer function and IBIS, I get long exposure tack sharp, color rich galaxy images, and star trail images if I so desire.
My goto is the Gopro 11 black or the insta360 x3. For light trails or galactic core.
Z6 with a 16mm F2.8
4MP Cryo cooled monochrome CCD camera and what ever lens and or telescope i feel like that week, though a bit limited with flange focal distance and the need for a filter wheel. If im more on the go its either a full spectrum NEX3 or NEX7 these days. Occasionally a 4x5" or 8x10" field camera with what ever film i happen to want to play with or have made that week. As for lenses in general, YES
edit:
should also add, vidicon cameras, including intensified ones, as well as various CCD and CMOS video cameras from mostly point gray
Sony a7C + Sigma 14mm f/1.4 DG DN Art!
Nokia 55
Astro modified A7IV with 24mm GM
z5 35mm 1.8 50mm 1.8 . 14-24/2.8
Z6 II with 20mm F1.8
Is there a good camcorder that can do night time Sky photography? I'm especially looking for high Zoom ability to zoom in on an object
Consider the Sony FDR-AX700 4K Camcorder B&H # SOFDRAX700: bhpho.to/3TnLx2R >Mark
I use d5300 with a 10-16 mm lens
Any tips to get Astro pics on 5300?.
Find a dark sky, I keep my shutter open between 20-30 seconds on f1.8 I think.
