First time i tasted Rfissa i was in shock because of the novelty and the unusual mix of ingredients put together, everything on the plate was so tasty and it works so well ! It was a good culinary shock it's now one of my favourite moroccan meal to eat that i don't find here in Belgium even in Moroccan restaurant !
You could respond warmly and conversationally like this: Absolutely! The food is such a huge part of what makes Morocco so special. Every dish feels like it has a story behind it.😊
The tagine is a great choice. If you like lamb you will enjoy it. Served plain it’s not very exciting but when combined with the flavourful stew it takes it to another level. 😊
Salam aleikum Lydia and Chris ❤️❤️ Morocco is beautiful and you are more beautiful Our sincere greetings to you and to all Australians. You honor us in Morocco. It is your country with beautiful Australia🌺🌹💐🤗🤗🇲🇦🤝🇦🇺
Thank you so much. 🫶 We really appreciate your warm welcome and kind words. We love Morocco and hope to encourage other Australians to visit your beautiful country and its people. ❤️🇲🇦🤝🇦🇺😊
The mechoui place you visited in Marrakech is probably the best in Morocco. Whereas Chabakiya is not per say a dish, it is a pastry that is generally served only with harira and eaten primarily during ramadan
Hi Guys, I just want to rectify some information you mentioned in your previous video about the Bahia Palace, built by Minister Bahmad, first he built this palace for a woman he loved as a wedding gift, but unfortunately he died before the work was finished, and the woman he loved never remarried after him. The palace was used during the French protectorate as General Leautey's headquarters, and afterwards as King Mohammed the Fifth's secondary residence, and is currently open to the public to visit as a national heritage site.
Thank you so much for this information. What a beautiful gesture for his wife. Such a sad ending. 🥹 The palace has had many uses that we were not aware of. Thanks again. 😊
the story of mint tea.... Tea used to be consumed on its own... The mint (or other various herbs) was added in the early 19th century, when tea from China would arrive to Morocco after a long sea journey from China, and was generally stale because of the way they stored it during the trip, so adding mint or other herbs would freshen it. Mint became the most popular additive to tea.. Voilà
That is really interesting insight. Thank you so much for sharing. Your comments are full of fascinating information, and we love hearing from someone who clearly knows so much about Moroccan food. Your input adds so much value to the conversation.
Thank you so much. We felt so welcomed by the Moroccan people and experienced nothing but kindness. We are not big watches of media and prefer to keep open minds and hearts.❤️
