I really enjoyed the story, and could definitely relate. After decades not riding dirt bikes, my son got a PW50, and then a KLX110. I ended up looking for something to ride along with him, and open up riding possibilities, and ended up getting a 2002 XR250F. My son is currently riding a CRF125F, and his next bike will probably be a KX85 or YZ85. When I was shopping for myself, I came oh so close to getting a KX250F, but somebody bought it out from under me. I really like your find, and the circumstances and story behind it. The price also sounds good. I'm always scared of a used 4-stroke MX bike, but in your situation, it sounds almost ideal. Aside from being limited as far as jumping, my XR has been good to me, and has not missed a beat. But I'm definitely gonna have to upgrade at some point if I want to progress in MX. Up to this point we have primarily been trail riders.
I actually sold the bike recently, but the oil change was easy. I have a bunch of oil filters for it still if you’re interested. I can ship them to you for what I paid for them
I believe it’s just one quart. I found the service manual online for free, and could probably point you towards it through email: John.r.adamczyk@gmail.com
Nice looking bike! Looking forward to seeing more of it!
Thanks!! I raced it this past weekend, check out my most recent video to hear the 450 power!!!!
