This film definitely deserved better. Jodie did a great job with her performance. I would recommend the book before watching the film. It clears up the ending.
We may never know the full story of what went down leading up to this duel. But I hope that the woman that Jodi portrayed got some personal satisfaction of seeing what happened to the man that did that to her

Ca me fait surtout mal que même pour le Moyen Age (français à fortiori) on se laisse encore devancer par les autres sur le plan culturel, et les seuls films qui sortent sur ce thème sont tout sauf français...

If it didn’t reveal too much this could’ve been the trailer. Personally I thought the official trailer was just okay, I feel like you could’ve made a better one.
By giving Marguerite a plausible motive (her favourite estate being taken) and her being the one to suggest they attend le Gris' party and planting the idea that de Carrouges stop by to show le Gris his wife is home alone, they cleverly left us with some doubt as to what really happened. They establish that at least two of the narrators are unreliable, and maybe even all three. Who is telling the truth? Or is the truth none of the above? I loved this movie.
❤❤Movie is great...Jodie is perfect so and ADAM...i did not like Damon..he is negative to me not Adam who felt in love for Margerite..wanted her so much that only option was to rape her..what is truth...Margerite with that rape felt all sexual fellings rhat she never had with husband..Adam lost that duel and life and Margerite stayed alive with his child which she couldnt have with husband..happy at the end she had what she ever wanted..child from love .only that was important...❤
A sick movie about Stockholm syndrome. She was raped but had a orgasm thru rape. She shed a tear when her rapist died. That's what I took the director wanted us 2 think. Shit was hard 2 watch/ hear. She felt bad for her husband she was tainted. The kid wasn't Damon's. And Damon wasn't making her orgasm in some magical world u have to have a orgasm to have kid Having a oragsm 2 have a kid would make the world a better place lol
