winter golf does suck even tho our course has been open all year with no temp greens but are on mats . we don't get snow down here , I think they bring out to many new drivers . and they are over priced . have you seen the mark up on golf clubs it massive . good vlog Kevin
I bought a "Golf swing weight and training grip club" from Amazon. It's about 2/3rds the length of a wedge and allows you to do full swings indoors but still feels like a full length club. Has worked wonders for me

I played at moor allerton on Saturday with a couple of mates. The course was wet but the greens were brilliant for this time of year. Just sick of cold and wind. I'm originally from york so played sandburn a few times. Great course and always pretty dry but it is quite open so if it's windy it can be a nightmare.
Playing Sandburn tomorrow! Yeh, Moor Allerton is awesome. My favourite course in Leeds by a mile
Hacker To Single Figures that's second time we've played it and like it. Just hard work when it's muddy up all the hills 😂 Oh............I'm working in york tomorrow and just seen forecast of 36mph gusts 😳 On the plus it's gonna be dry tho.
Hey mate, im pretty lucky obviously in Australia our winters are nothing like yours. So unless it’s bucketing we can play golf. So I don’t have much experience, but the things that I would do is firstly continue with doing stretches and keeping limber, secondly I’d be getting some of those foam golf ball and a mat or a bit of spare carpet and practice pitching, chipping, flop shots and maybe some 3/4 or punch swings if you have the space. I use the foam golf balls around my backyard as I don’t have a golf net. So I can do full swings and they don’t go very far and plus they give you a bit of a flight pattern as they grip the clubface and draw or fade etc.....I hope the weather improves soon for you or you might need a holiday to Australia 😀👍

Hi some good points about the m3,4 .I don't like the shape and the look of them I have 2017 m2 it's going well. I'm like you if I could hit stright it would be great. Good tip for putting inside put a cane across your shoulders stand door frame am make swings keeping the cane touching the door frame good for rocking shoulders not rotation. Well done on your win.

Well, I want a single figure... but I'd be super happy if I got to 8
I think I can help on the full swing indoor practice - from as recent as last week - same problem - too cold and wet to venture out, so after using the putt out for a bit I decided to have one full(ish) swing- I can confirm you will take out a light shade - smashed all over my head !!

Tried all the latest drivers I fancied , rouge,g400,cobra f8 and f8+ taylormade m3 and m4 and for me the feel and performance of the M4 won hands down for consistency and distance 9.5 head evenflo 65g shaft loved it out performed my current driver Calloway XR by 25 yards carry and less dispersion also

Didn’t like the feel at all , felt quite dead for me Cobra f8+ was next best for me then ping g400 but none came close to performance and dispersion ,, my swing speed is up around 100

Another suggestion rather than indoor drills, take the family away for a couple of days to La Manga holiday resort, they get the pool and you can play the 3 brilliant courses there!!
Haven’t got any decent drills for ya but what you will feel the benefit from is some stretching a few days a week and some body weight exercises👌

I tried both this week. Currently gaming a 2016 M1 and love it so was only testing out of curiosity really.
Both M3 and M4 are shorter but definitely more accurate on mis-hits. My low heel strike was curving back to the centre and still carrying 230-250.
However, out the screws my current M1 is way longer. 310ish total compared to only 285ish (average of about 12shots) so I don’t see me changing. For the sake of £350 and a bit of accuracy it’s not worth it
Interesting stuff... I really didn't like the M3, but the M4 performed ok. Didn't notice the bad strikes being any better though if I'm honest.
Hacker To Single Figures I’ve been told it’s going to be really different for different folk.
I naturally draw the ball but could not hit a draw with either (which I hated!) but both were consistently coming out of the heel with a soft fade back to the middle. Very weird but interesting
Have managed to get out a fair bit at Oulton to be fair. It's not in the best condition but just good to play some target golf. You should come along and have a round. I play with Ben Stephens who you will know from Howley. He's a bit good tho!
Yeh, I was with Ben the other week at Howley having a swing speed off... he won by about 20 mph!!!
Hi Kevin all these new drivers that are coming out can't offer more distance as they are all built to the same tolerances best thing to do is find one you like the look of get custom fit and stick with it.

Good drill... Put your arse against the wall (bear with me, this isn't a prison thing). Take your golf posture. Practice turning back with your right glute working into the wall, then rotate through with your left glute working into the wall. If you early extend (which most of us do) your arse will want to come away from the wall. Hope that makes sense!

This doesn't solve the cause for early extension, which is usually related to setup
omeradhia Could you elaborate? Drills aren't about "solving" things - this is to get you used to what a good hip turn feels like.

Get a putting mat and just hit putts everyday within you're house and it has helped me a lot with my putting

Tried the m3 and m4 drivers and so no gains at all so I would agree I think TM have gone backwards with their drivers since 2016!! Got fitted for the Callaway Rogue and I know you didn't see much improvement with it Kevin over your epic I have seen some big gains in distance and forgiveness... Hope you don't mind me pointing out and you have mentioned yourself your struggles with putting average for last year I really think you need to drop using a blade putter and consider a mallet even most of the pro's are using mallets now and there is a reason they hole more putts and our stable! Try the ping ketsch you wont look back
Used to use a mallet, and just loved the feel of the blade. It’s behaving itself at the moment too!

I bought the M4 recently and really hate it. I used to swing the R15 and thought it was time to upgrade. I've lost 20 yards on my drive and feels like a brick at impact. I'm at a loss and really frustrated. Have you heard of anyone else with the same results? Doesn't seem any straighter and I have some unusual ball flights. Thanks

Not enjoyable this time of the year, I’m just spending most of my time at the range as playing on the course can be so down heartening. Last month from golfcrate I received some Calloway foam balls and a chipping net. My chipping is the worse part of my game so great for me to stick the footie on and practice my chipping for a few hours in the lounge 👍🏻

Hi Kev, laughed at your video regarding the weather it’s the same here in Northumberland snow rain snow rain etc as for a good drill how about bollocks the golf this week, champions league on tonight Stella in the fridge and a lovely Indian takeaway ready for 7.45 kick off even tho it’s not my team I still want the English teams to do well. I read that if you are limited for practice space then chipping practice is the one. Get some of those soft rainbow coloured balls and chip through door ways at targets.
I do it with my boy and he runs about collecting the balls up for me.
Its important to keep the hand eye coordination going.

I think everyone will be glad when the winter is over , we are lucky in the east of England the course I play doesn't get water logged , If Tiger can only hit 30% of fairways with the M3 , M4 what hope have we got

M4 was ok... M3 just felt horrible. I was surprised tbh... each to their own though, sure some people will love it.

I can relate to you quite well - its snowing in Germany, too. During this winter, I worked a lot on my putting indoors. Obviously the most practical thing to do inside. I built a DIY Dave Pelz Putting Tutor to practice starting the ball on-line and it helped me a lot with my putting.
