Bebel Gilberto, Astrud Gilberto, & also Flora Purim all do this song justice, but each in their own way. I don't know which is my favorite recording of the three.
@boxflyful they are both fantastic. Yet have you seen the her mothers version. It is one of my favorite songs. I do prefer the upbeat tempo of her mom. 2 terrific ladies!!
Classic Babel...just like warm sun. Thanks SOUNDS OF BRAZIL for keeping this music alive on radio♥️
I really love this, especially the idea of the young Jobim and Gilberto.
Beautiful harmonies

Its the sound of a heartbeat, an Onomatopoeia... "Bim, bom, bim, bom..."
love this version nice update of sergio
Absolutely Love THIS!
When Joao wrote the song he was inspired by the swaying steps of laundresses with bins balanced on top of their heads!

I like this one better than the Astrud Gilberto version. This version seems to have more soul to it, more feeling.
beautiful
Bro, I listened to this song on a blue flight
@boxflyful no way astruds is a voice like no other bebel sounds like any other chic on a remake
Hey do you know if I can use this song in a video ?
im sure you can
Maybe I'm old school and kinda loyal to Astrud's version..
Nothing like Astrud
I like Bebel and appreciate the homage to her dad's music, but think this version sounds a bit awkward
@leoray1234 How is this one awkward?
I really like this version, too, but I'll never say querida Astrud Gilberto didn't have soul...
What did she say? Big bong?
just a bim bom, no translate, the rithim, the beat
Can somebody translate?
Thanks Lela Child's. My children love this song but they always ask me what she is saying...
you bet she did, kkkkkkkk
Bing bong, hahhaa just joking!
Astrud's is much better and a lot cuter!!!
Different tempo and musical styles. Did you know that Astrud was Joao Gilberto's (Bebel's father) first wife?
Yes,I do..She's not Bebel's mother either
i will always like astrud better than any other bossa singer (maybe not elis regina) but this is the best version ive heard
