What made you guys go the Little French route? Do the lower French from Hartley marina to Georgian bay, or the upper French from Woseley around the island and back. It'll blow you away compared to the little French area!
Well, we saw a few guys on UA-cam do a cool loop all the way up and through Lake Nippissing. So we totally thought we could pull it off. As we got closer to the trip, we realized we couldn't do the loop in the time we allotted, so we shortened it to what we did in the videos. I plan on paddling the more scenic routes eventually.
Turn towards the bay and canoe the delta from Hartley Bay or smiths marina on the pickerel river and paddle down the main to the bay and enjoy the endless places to paddle, return up the bad river and if time permits canoe north on the inside passages very beautiful and a fraction of the boat traffic. Long weekends bring paddlers in swarms but it’s the same everywhere and it’s a big river! I recommend Hartley Bay marina. Good staff and starting there your almost at the center of things. 9 miles here and there and up etc. Below the river wether you go down the eastern main or western is a different world, obviously there will be big water but you can stay in very sheltered waters from the main outlet(Dallas rapids) towards the eastern outlet(rainbow camp) and beyond following the small vessel channel and in and out all the amazing cuts and bays!! The waters clear the further you venture until sites 20-30 feet down appear within your grasp!
Awesome! Thanks for the info. Yes I have been hearing from quite a few people we were just slightly too far upriver. We as a group still have plans to explore the lower river for sure. I also think we had bad luck with the wind for our trip. It was beautiful.
Absolutely love the French River!
It sure was beautiful!
Love the content.
Thanks man!!!

Good job on the video sir! Lots to learn from your videos! Did not know that the cooking rock has to be dry and not from the water. Thank you!
Dude, your videography has come a long way, keep up the good work
Thanks man I really appreciate the feedback!😀
Another good day on the French!
