Rule thumb when I travel. If your bag is already full before your travel, it's either your bag is too small, or you overpack. We tend to accumulate things as we go.
My eagle creek bathroom bag is 23 yrs. Old. Not one thread loose. Not one zipper problem ever. Not a hole no-where. And in 23 years i have backpacked and car and moto travelled abroad 10.5 years. But who knows now, most everything is made in china. But some chinese factories have western quality control people and then products can be good!
@8:44...I'm not that organized...a minute prior....I'm a big fan of organization..... 🤣 and then the "I like to have these shirts made in Cambodia"...."I want to support the children of Cambodia".....That did not come out the way you probably intended, especially with that photo. lol. Anyways, solid stuff. I saw you have an umbrella though, how often do you use it? I switched to just using my rain jacket and getting a rain cover for my bag.
Very impressive that you can whittle your possessions down to such a small space. One thing I find always takes a ton of space are shoes. Just curious, other than your flip flops which you carry outside your bag, do you only have one pair of shoes? Also, since you are such a reading proponent, perhaps you could do a video on those books that you are most fond of, or which have most changed your life and why? Just a thought.
Recently consolidated to an Osprey 130L duffel backpack (on super sale at REI outlet) and the Eagle Creek 40L Global Companion Backpack as my “personal item” for all work gear. So far so good! I have 4 months of clothes and gear for any weather (I travel between warm and cool climates)… great vid Tony! Let’s link up if you’re still in Medellin early September!

I've never carried that much stuff anywhere. That thing is huge.
just curious how heavy is your bag normally
Full it's about 10kg
I love my osprey backpack too. It has never let me down
I wish I could do that but I carry liquids and -pepper spray..and a few other things you must do your laundry like 3 times a week
Laundry?
If my bag can’t fit under my seat, I don’t bring it. I’m currently using a goruck and have had no issues.

How you wash your clothes?
Just ask the reception of your hotel where the laundry is. Sometimes you can pay them to do it, or drop it off at a local laundry mat.

Ahh another gear nerd I see. Message me again when you're here.
Awesome video Tony!
I disagree with the heavy items on top. It will pull your bag from your shoulders
I might have to try it the other way
Make a video of your monthly expenses please
Camping paper toilet rolls....life savers........
