Still Gilas Good Job at sana maging local na si Jordan Clarkson.
As Filipino living in NZ for 16 years I’m having goosebumps watching this. Whenever I see the hake getting performed is making me emotional and to do it when Philippine team is watching, OMG. Making me proud to be a kiwi
@@ironplasticmachine2309 why would they? They are proud of it! They always incorporate their culture in every aspect of their life... pinapayabong nila at pinapakita nila sa buong mundo.Sana ganyan din tayo.
Admiring this culture and tradition of new zealand, you can feel that intensity and passion on them being proud to battle it out for the country. Hope i can see a live performance of haka.. i would love to feel that energy.
When you think of Haka, is New Zealand Ritual Chant. When you think of Hakka, is the person from Henan & Hubei who moved to Fujian and Guangdong. And when you think of Haka-haka, is a rumored topic that anyone can spill the tea.
The last time they did a haka against Gilas here the crowd booed because probably of the lack of understanding about this tradition from New Zealand. I'm glad they didn't today instead they applauded them right after... The most appropriate gesture.
Filipino tribal warriors also do Hakkas before a war. But Spanish cannons and musketeers shoot them before they could finish their performance. That's why they don't do it anymore.
I really love when they turn from "looks like" a mad guy, and being normal for a mili sec 🤣. This ritual and culture is top tier on everysport. BIG RESPECT🔥🔥🔥🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻
Parang ayaw kong manood ng full game alam ko olat sila. Pero respect pa rin sa culture, ganda no one laughs and the audience applauded. Sana lang wag tambak huhu but Im hoping for a miracle.
@@NBS-rk8bl yes its Ka mate or 'It is death' by Te Rauparaha, its usually the most common Haka by New Zealand male players unlike the Black Ferns (their female athletes) which had Ko Uhia Mai or 'let it be known' as much as possible I wish the male athletes would create a new Haka since Ka Mate is kind of overused in my opinion.

This is an honor for Gilas players to be able to see the ritual of New Zealand in front of them.
