K Stu yes. The LC3 in the STS-V was hand built and signed by assembler. It is a northstar. None of the AWD/RWD longitudinally mounted northstars had issues with head gaskets / bolts. Even for the FWD platform 99% of that was solved with 2002 engine with the rest resolved in 04.

I do not believe when people say they are scared of it or other problems that might happen. its all depends on whos maintaining the car and if they know what there doing. The difference with this car and say the xlr is the people that own them are very meticulous abotu proper maintenance and ive never meet anybody in person that didnt love there northstar cadillac.

Im like danny as were both tall guys except im a little bigger myself and i also want comfort and quietness when cruisin around. The Cadillac STS V is one of the most underrated untalked about performance cars ever I had a 2007 STS V same color that 4.4 l Northstar engine is so buttery smooth and full of torque I can punch myself in the nuts for getting rid of it I was always afraid that it was going to have some big problem that I couldn't afford to fix so I traded it for a Chrysler 300C God I wish I can go back in time beautiful car thanks for showing it
I have one just like it, except the interior is black. Amazing car. I have pretty much the same mods on mine as well - intake, tune, custom headers & Borla exhaust. One thing Kount didn't mention is how rare these cars are. They only made 2500 of them in a 4 year run (2006 to 2009) and only 500 or so were made for 2008. Only 96 were made for 2009 so if you ever see one of those, it's a unicorn.
This car genuinely hits my style perfectly, not a fan of the chrome personally I prefer matte styling but I love the more subtle nature with the styling of this car. It’s funny cause Cadillac made it so aggressive and angular, but these subtle choices you made to stance it a little bit, open spokes, it’s all nicely put together and the engine speaks for itself, more of a sleeper vibe. Absolutely love it.
It makes me happy to see that someone like the count here, can appreciate one of the last true breed cadillacs like the STS. these are definitely under rated cars. The best pat about them is they are powered by Cadillac which they all should have been. Northstar engines are the best! The supercharger really sounds good. And I love those performance numbers to.

Hey Danny. Awesome V! I have a 2009 STS. Not as cool as yours but it was ordered with all the extras including 18" wheels and white diamond pearl paint. These cars are head turners. And even with only 302 HP it is a joy to drive. Rock on brother!
I have a Regular STS and i love it. The stereo and ride comfort are awsome. I have 17 inch factory wheels on mine. 255/45 in the rear and 235/55 in the front. Thats the tier size i run.
Thomas Telling it’s too bad they’re so slow with the standard v8. Loved the look of them but I couldn’t justify spending the money on a v8 that couldn’t even do 0-60 in under 6 seconds. Even the V series stock is relatively slow for such an expensive car

Hey Count, I also own a black on black 2008 STS AWD and I love it! The 3.6 V6 has 300 HP and moves out fine. The Bose 15 speaker surround sound system kicks ass and the car rides like a dream. A 2018 CT6 will be next! 😁
I love my 2008 stsv lol. It makes all of the right noises. Love the hud and lane departure and blind spot warning systems in the car and for a 2008 to come with all of that is the cool factor

I had STS , SLS , The deville just like every other Cadillac garbage they all good up to 90k miles after that head gasket gone everyone who had Cadillac’s and I know many ppl that had em they know what I’m talking about only the D was solid. After all the problems I had with Cadillac’s last year I was like screw it I’ll get the new Cadillac Escalade , only had 1200k miles on , drove it for a month great car , than one more I get up car won’t turn on , take it to the shop they fixed the codes , drove it for couple months again check engine goes off, they pick it up and fix it , 3 months later get up start the card no lights , no wipers nothing worked on the car they fixed it again , couple months later problems again , they took it to the shop kept it for a month one fucking month , gave me a renter car , they called me they said they don’t know what the problems is they can’t figure it out , oh btw this is 50k $ car we talking about fucking garbage ! NEVER EVER AGAIN WILL I EVER LOOK AT ANOTHER CADILLAC!!!

@@tylercouture216 I haven't got my car tuned but I have a homeboy with a rarest of the rare 2009 stsv black ice with tango red and ebony interior and he's had his car tuned and has a lot of upgrades and his 6l80 shifts crisp and not too firm. Same guy that tuned his car tuned my Silverado and my truck feels the same.
@@thesnake9352 Sounds like you had some bad luck with your ish. Not everyone goes through that. I know about the Northstar headgasket BS. Had 2 Seville STSs (2002 and 2003) and a STS V8 (2011). Never had any Northstar head gasket leak. Just oil leaks from the pan and other BS. Didnt care because I had a good warranty that fixed all of that ish. After that, I got rid of the vehicle and got another one.
Great car count..I still got my 2007 CTS-V..I just hit 52,000 original miles yesterday..There is nothing like driving it..I only get 6 miles to the gallon..but..hey..Love the power of the LS2..while I'm shifting that 6 speed transmission...Cadillac is still doing it in 2022..
We love the V. We purchased the 4.6 new, almost 100K to date w very little issue, for us this sedan has been one of the best ever motor vehicles on the road especially in comfort, power and ride. If I had to do it over again I may op for the V. I'll drive this one till it dies and that won't be anytime soon.

Interesting fact for those that don’t know, they were used by Flying Lizard on their American Le Mans 911 RSR. Also for anyone wondering, yes Fikse wheels are custom as they’re built to your specs and being custom, are not cheap either. A set of these Profil 5’s will cost you nearly $5000 and not including tires.
Got a 2018 CTS-V and a 2006 STS-V. The CTS-V is obviously a better car and can do 10/10ths. But there is something absolutely charming about the STS-V. I call it a cruise missile. It has an amazing high RPM growls with all that valve train. Plus a bigger supercharger that has nice whine. Factory its quiet with good noise at WoT, but if you want some noise all around throw on a Corsa sport axle back exhaust and the Specter cold air intake with the y pipe and you get the right amount of theater but not sounding like those idiots with gunshots every time they come off throttle. The thing that really holds the STS back is nothing to do with the car itself but just the massive difference in how transmissions were in the 2000s compared to how much better they are in the 2010s. Saying that it took me 3 years to find my STS-V because so many of them are abused, but if you find a good one they are EXTREMELY reliable (unlike their german counterparts), they still look good, and are unique but not overbearing.
I have an 06 STS-V black/black with 200,000 miles. All bone stock and looks like brand new still. I love my car for long trips on the highway, very comfortable. They only made 2503 of these cars over a 4 year period. Very under rated vehicle…

It’s a beast. Supercharged cars respond so well to tuning and pulley changes.. it hauls .. my sq5 has a blown 6 and it moves.. imagine this thing flies..

The cleanest 2008 Cadillac STS v I’ve seen. They are usually just hammered and tore up from the floor up.

ReLoK_805 I’ve gotten lucky and have seen lots of them! At my local car show this past summer I’ve seen 2 different XLR V’s and probably 3 different normal XLR’s!

the early North Star L37(4.6) and LD8(4.6) had those problems, the North Star LC3(4.4) and LH2(4.6) didn't have those flaws.
I like the sound, I bet the performance is awesome, and it also looks comfortable too.

It’s a beast. Supercharged cars respond so well to tuning and pulley changes.. it hauls .. my sq5 has a blown 6 and it moves.. imagine this thing flies..
I had one of these. It was one of the best cars I ever had, mad I wrecked it.
I loved mine. Unfortunately transmission was going out and other high mileage issues popping up, miss it terribly.
