I was in high school in 2004 when Splendor came out and I picked it up at a Tower Records in Brea, CA. It fuckin blew me away and I still listen to that album regularly. When you guys came back with The Liberation it was such a treat, and it's been so fucking awesome seeing all this content between the records and the performances. Much love from Southern California. You guys have been so important to me for twenty fuckin years man. Keep going :)
I have to admit, I was not expecting the audio for this stream to be so damn good. It's excellent, quite frankly! Every instrument sounds so clear and audible, it's actually preferable to the studio record at many moments! Well done my lads, I hope you're all proud of yourselves (that goes for the crew too)
I bought this live cast and let me tell you, when they played Back to Times of Splendor, I was over the roof!!! I bought that record on a whim when it came out and have been in love ever since!
My word... no one would ever have blamed any of you if the studio material was too ambitious to completely execute live without some compromises... but this has SUCH an unbelievably fierce energy, and the parts are so stacked up. The goosebumps, damn it, the tears!!! I really enjoyed the stream, but hearing it balanced out with both channels of audio, I'll be back over and over to enjoy this. Money is a bit tight right now, but I'll get a ticket when I get paid. Thank you so much. You've been a huge part of my life when it has really mattered since 2004.
Back To Times Of Splender... es ist einfach nach wie vor einer meine absoluten Lieblingslieder! so ein geiler Song und ihn hier immer und immer wieder in voller Länge Live zu genießen... einfach fantastisch!
Best album of 2019, superb live concert in february 2020 (Die Kantine) and this livestream is perfect as well. And The Liberation is, for me, one of the best and most meaningfull albums ever.
You can really hear the added awesomeness of 3 guitars and singers. Alone I stand in Fires sounds HEAVY. Not to take away from the amazing drumming, bass, acoustic guitar and trumpet.
One of my favorite songs, period. That song meant a lot to me at a time when the lyrics really coincided with events in my life. "And I weep/sing in the summer wind, arms wide open, ready to dive."
Just discovered Disillusion from meeting the drummer, Martin, in Rocamadour and having a very pleasant conversation with him. Excellent music, orchestral blended with Heavy Metal filled with such energy. Thanks Martin. Good luck to you and the Band for the Future. See you in the Albert Hall sometime in the near Future.
I cant believe how little this show has been viewed on here, it is amazing and the sound quality is better than an album sound quality and it is live. Great job on this!!
Listening to this right now, after consuming The Liberation for the last two years. You guys deserve more exposure, it's good to witness such a passion, heart and musicality, both on record and onstage. Keep up the amazing music guys. Cheers from Genova, Italia.
Quel live.
I had to revisit this gem of a livestream. Your music is such a perfect blend of the beautiful and the brutal! And the ending to The Mountain with the two guitar solos hits me every single time. Close to a religious experience! Looking forward to new music from you guys.
Thank you for the upload of this show. It was quite a memorable and emotional experience watching you perform for the first time a full set. Cheers from Texas/ 🇺🇸
Did you remix the audio? The sound is phenomenal! I must admit I missed my favorite song "The Liberation" in your setlist but on the other hand I already saw it live in Hamburg :) Thank you for the show! Also thanks to the whole team behind the cameras and desks and of course thank you Birgit Horn for appearing on Alea and The Mountain :)
Gosh, this was great! Unfortunately i didn't watch it live. Such a great performance! Such a great composing! Such a great passion! You, guys, rock and drive energy even through a youtube video!
11:20 What's going on here with the strumming on the guitar? Is he actually strumming just at a higher spot, or is he just air strumming for some reason? I haven't seen that before.
@@lenni-hazels yes. We cut the beginning as 10 min of nothing are not the way a video should start. No remix. Just the full audio signal this time (for some reasons the stream sent only the right side of the stereo signal). But you are absolutely right, this is defitinely an improvement. Enjoy. :)

PS: Greetings and warm regards from Canada
I saw them live in Dublin last week. Man, these guys are good.
Simply amazing music and musicians
Back to times of splendor transcends music. A pure piece of art, and one of my favourites.
How can a band be so talented yet so underrated?
You guys put out the best album of 2019.
I agree !!!!
Facts!!! A Forest of Stars - Grave Mounds and Grave Mistakes. A close second.
Absolutely!

thanks for this, its a sunbeam in these dark days which gives hope.
Thanks for this, just made a small donation! Keep safe!

It would have been so fitting to say at 29:46 "and one more thing... what I wanted to say... what I wanted to say is... DON'T GO ANY FURTHER!"
damn... brilliant idea
One of the greatest bands of all time. I’m honored to be a fan from the beginning.
Awesome. Can't wait to see you live in Chicago. Thanks a lot for making good music
You can really hear the added awesomeness of 3 guitars and singers. Alone I stand in Fires sounds HEAVY. Not to take away from the amazing drumming, bass, acoustic guitar and trumpet.
The best surprise was "Alea", fully played. And that slapping bass at the beginning, along with the drums... the solo is really beautiful.
One of my favorite songs, period. That song meant a lot to me at a time when the lyrics really coincided with events in my life. "And I weep/sing in the summer wind, arms wide open, ready to dive."
Magnifique ! Un groupe unique et au ambiances fantastiques !

3 super guitarists in one band... Magnificent...

Thank you very much from the USA...I always wanted to see you live and this is a wonderful opportunity!

This band is just unbelievable. 💙
39:05 such a powerful part!
Great songs, great new album! Greetings from Russia!
Yes, there are some moments where it's well in the face !
How did I miss this?? This is incredible
¡Qué maravilla de show!

Still great, still astounding!
Unfassbar...
Mehr fällt mir dazu nicht ein!
DANKE DISILLUSION!!!
Thanks so much for this, to finally be able to watch ALEA and Back To Times of Splendor live is simply amazing! Cheers from Argentina

Absolutly Brilliant
I've been listening to you since Back to Times of Splendor and always wanted to see you live. Glad I made it. :)

Wintertide is the song of the year.
The Mountain for me
Excellent performance!
I was surprised to find this, thank you!!
Cool that you put it here, I missed the first half !
thank you guys
Thank you for your music! It really insperes and helps to go through hard times. It was an amazing live concert.
You know when the band is good when you have 0 dislikes, great job guys
Holy mother of god is this fantastic!
i love ALEA

Beyond excellent! I'm happy I found these guys. Don't know many German bands (and i can't stand Rammstein, sorry)
And when the dark night seems endless...
You guys kick ass!!! Cheers from Brazil!!!!
Awesome guys!! Greattings from Colombia
Wow. Never listened to you before. That was FANTASTIC. Thank you! I’ll be listening to more of your stuff.
Btw. DISILLUSION will play ProgPower USA in 2024! 👍🏻😃
No words
Großartig!
fantastic.....
Thanks a lot for this guys. Amazing job!!!!
Großartig geworden!
This was so amazing.
Sorry, whats the problem.10€ is not enough for this great perfomance without me and you.I whish this band a great future!
if you guys tour in America i have about 10 people i'll bring to the show
11:20 What's going on here with the strumming on the guitar? Is he actually strumming just at a higher spot, or is he just air strumming for some reason? I haven't seen that before.
just strumming higher. I usually do that for smoother playing. Strings have less tension on that zone
if i dont leave now i will be lost in the hot and burning dungeon
!!!!!!! !!!!!!! !!!!!!!
Missing AVALANCHE!
Why was it reuploaded? It was already on your channel
The stream was only mono. Enjoy this version in stereo. :)
@@DisillusionBand Great! I didn't even noticed it actually, I was too lost in the sound 🤣
Pretty sure the sound has been improved/remixed. Also the long break in the beginning was cut.
I just noticed it had a lower volume
