SAPA VLOG | Solo travel to the mountains, trekking with a Hmong guide, visiting local village

- Destination: Sapa, Vietnam
This was a solo trip I did back in 2019 to Sapa, a small town in the mountains in northeastern Vietnam. Famed for its chilly foggy atmosphere and rice terraces, Sapa is also a popular destination for trekking. The highlight of my trip was definitely spending half a day with the Hmong guide trekking though rice fields and talking about well, life (they are fluent in English).
Despite a chaotic start (due to the logistics discomforts of a city girl), the kind and friendly locals made this trip a good experience which I'd recommend to anyone who's thinking of making a visit to Sapa. My tip for you is to visit when it's harvesting season, so you get lots of greenery for the eyes and soul, unlike me who went during low season (when replanting had just begun), so it was mostly just brown.

Ahhh it's so awesome that you get to visit your tour guide's home, make lunch together and meet their piggy! Also, good call switching accommodations. Can you imagine coming back to the hostel after a long wet trek? haha let's go on a backpacking trip after COVID pleasseeeeeee
Omg, I didn't even think of that but that would've put me in a very shitty mood! We can travel (with proper luggage) together for sure! haha
All the places are very beautiful specially last one place was very peaceful and eggs, lunch you had was looking very yummy ,my mouth watered and you are looking cute simple👍and enjoy like that🥰
The trekking route is really peaceful and calming, although tiring.
Worth the trip, for sure!
