THE most difficult challenge I've ever done is as follows and I invite you to give it a shot: ~No looting of any kind. Everything you get must be given to you by an NPC or as you are leaving the Vault from CC purchases. This includes no looting bodies, safes, boxes, nor anything picked up from the ground, shelves, or whatever. Quest items are exception 1, exception 2 is received loot from disarming traps. No other exceptions period. Quest weapons NOT given to you by an NPC (such as Pickman's Blade) must be discarded immediately except the Thirst Zapper as you can't get very far without it. ~No buying anything, nothing at all period. No ammo, no chems, nothing. Also, no buying of services such as healed from doctors nor renting beds. ~Normal Difficulty ~No mods except may be the Bottle Scenery Fix for Nuka World, thats it! ~No armor ~No Power Armor ~No dieing, you die, game over! ~No scrap leveling. No scrapping entire settlements and making hundreds or thousands of shelves or whatever else. ~No hacks nor glitches ~No companions unless relevant to a quest ~No chems ~You must beat the game with the best ending. This means that no factions are wiped out except the institute. The Railroad, Brotherhood, and Minutemen all survive and they all get along with each other. It is very specific on how you must do this and you could easily mess up. ~You must beat ALL DLCs ~You may alot Perks only after you fill all SPECIALs to 10. ~In the very beginning give yourself through console commands all 3 pieces of Solar Powered. This is your primary method of healing and dealing with Rads. This is your main means of survival. Your secondary means of healing and survival is the backpack from the CC purchase with the medic upgrade. ~This predominantly forces you to be a Melee character. Some of the weapons you get as rewards are Zao's Sword from the Yangtze submarine (my 1st weapon) near impossible to get due to having to go through The Forge, Atom's Judgment (my 2nd weapon) near impossible to get, a Relentless Disciples Cutlass (your endgame weapon), Combat shotgun from the Mariner, Combat rifle from Desdemona, Deliverer from Deacon, The Problem Solver from Mason. You get the Relentless Disciples Cutlass from siding with the Disciples, but I don't side with Raiders. So, I wiped out ALL raiders in Nuka World, turned the power on in Nuka World, and gave it to myself though console commands (ya I'm a cheater!) ~You get the Silver Shroud's clothes given to you upgraded at the end of that quest line but THE best clothes you get is The Mechanist's suit. It is a set of CLOTHES not armor due to it being upgradable with the Ballistic Weave upgrades! Woo Hoo! However, you must survive THE toughest fight of the whole game (in terms of this challenge at least) to get it. All of the grenades and mines you get from disarming traps throughout your entire playthrough are used in this one end battle and they are not nearly enough! Wiping out all of the Raiders of Nuka World is a cake walk by comparison! No where to run, no where to hide, and enemies crammed down your throat! Have fun!
If it's modified with the nuclear attachment, it basically becomes a "poor man's atom's judgment" it's not a powerful, but, against certain enemies they both take out enemies basically in one - two hits, the steel sword does hit harder because of the furious effect though, but most enemies both get one shot by both melee weapons, the steel sword just has a better legendary effect. Atom's judgment is the strongest compared to it, the steel sword is the second most powerful next to the slashers assassin's knife, strongest knife, strongest sledgehammer and strongest sword. A pint sized slasher challenge would be incredible TBH.
