In my opinion this was a satisfying ending to the whole fiasco. Anna was Phelan's target from day one, and wanted to make her life miserable as much as possible. He even went as far as to throw her in prison. We can argue he hated Anna more than a dog hates a cat. For Anna to come in and stab him - after everything she went through - was poetic justice. For her to then stand over his body as he slowly dies - it was even more poetic justice.

It was so right that Anna killed Phelan, brings the story full circle. It was intense when Phelan stormed the Bistro and the shot Michelle. Phelan has definitely been a GREAT villain for Corrie. After all the people ='s deaths he was responsible for; Michael, Vinny, Andy and Luke its about time he got a taste of his own medicine. Good luck for the future Connor McIntyre. The next big Corrie villain will have a tough act to follow. Long live Coronation Street and these great storylines and characters
As much as I loved this character, I honestly believe Phelan was actually the devil. Even in the face of death, he still seemed inherently evil and even attempted to smile, as if to spite Anna even more. The way he went about his way as well, scaring children, ruining random people's days for no apparent reason, he lacked any sort of empathy and instead enjoyed bringing pain to others. Psycho.

Your fifteen minutes of supposedly 'fame' is now up, bud. Gotta admit, I haven't felt this satisfied after seeing a villain's death since Derek Branning bit the bullet. Completely defied my expectation of how Phelan would die (after shooting various citizens and being surrounded by police, Phelan finds that he has one bullet left and uses it on himself so no one would be given the satisfaction of killing him), stabbed by one of the people he royally screwed over, and most importantly seeing the downfall and demise of both a character I thoroughly disliked and a storyline that had been dragged out for too long.
I'm so sad that pat had to die he may have been a badass but he was a damm good character and a fantastic actor. Best villian ever. I know he killed all those people but boy did he do it justice.
Plot twist: Phelan shoots Michelle and when Anna screams and charges at him with a knife,Phelan shoots Anna in the head,then he shoots Michelle dead and he finally takes his own life.
If I knew what Geoff was like when he was around at this time, I’d have pinned Phelan’s Murder on him by saying that Phelan tried to get Faye on his side so Geoff lost it to stick up for his granddaughter.
Although it was really well done I was expecting something different. 1) Robert to shoot him in the head when he was slowly dying 2) the police run in accidentally shoot someone else and then pat escapes to be confronted by Gary who batters him behind the resteraunt. 3) to put him in prison so he an return in years to come and cause terror for them all by blowing up the pub. And then he gets brutally murdered by someone even more evil than him
Anna gave Pat that lovin Phelan!!! Great storyline. Connor is a great actor and Pat is one of the best soap villains in my opinion. Not a big fan of all of Kate Oates decisions like bringing back Andy and then prematurely killing him off but on the whole well Coronation Street. I love when a storyline comes together.
A very fitting end for Pat Phelan especially with Anna doing the deed herself, which made the most sense because of their history (sweet revenge). Connor McIntyre has made Coronation Street worth watching over the past few years, the best, the smartest and the most evil villain in all of Soap ever, Patrick James Phelan.
I think I speak on behalf of all corries fans when I say thank you Connor for entertaining us as Pat Phelan over these past five years, been a pleasure watching your long list of crimes including raping Anna and then framing her for pushing Seb off the ladder, getting Jason to leave the street, coning half of the street out of money, making Andy's life a misery by forcing him to do his dirty work then kidnapping him and Vinny then shooting them both, killing Luke when he was getting closer to the truth about Andy, threatening Faye, threatening to push Eileen off the cliff by the lighthouse, tying up Gary and Sarah in the builders yard and finally shooting Nicola and then Michelle (if I've missed any out, please let me know) Thank you once again Connor, you will be sorely missed and I really hope he goes a long way in the acting world and maybe see him as a villain in the next Bond film. Now go and a rest sir, you certainly have earned it!!

I think he had two personalities because he was in number eleven with a gun the next thing he is upset and distraught and when Nicola collapsed he was persistently smacking his head with his gun. Tbh most serial killers do have mental health issues but it could just be that he was a awful person. Connor has been amazing through out the years as he was known to be a villan but in real life he is lovely. Top notch acting here I hope Connor gets another one in another show and isn't evil in the next one. Can't believe I am gonna say this but rip pat. We ain't gonna get much drama in the show for awhile now that he is dead. Anyway like I said amazing acting
