This creates multiple rows due to which the column which has numbers got added multiple times. Do you know any other way..?

Agreed, I mentioned it in the video. You can first split into columns, then unpivot.
But that will also still give you multiple rows. That is why we count by Distinct.
Unfortunately, I am yet to find any better & efficient way to go about this without getting multiple rows.
For some reason, the multiple rows have nearly no impact on analysis as far as you count by Distinct.
I am curious to know why stacking the data doesn't work for you.

@@MSurveyPoint I have a column 'Total Sales" - 10000, Country = "India,China, Japan". After creating multiple rows the sum(total Sales) is giving me 10000* 3 = 30000. Earlier it was just giving 10000
      This is just an examoke

I understand your concern. But since you are adding to data model, the data will be stored in power query. Power query can handle as many rows there are unlike excel spreadsheet which has 1m rows limitation. Only the speed of the data processing may be affected subject to your PC's capability. Like in the video, I got 50k+ rows and still proceeded speedly.
Check this video I explained this for Excel and possible precautions.

@@MSurveyPoint how do I get the sum of column for distinct ID? In a measure?

Since the value column is numeric and you want total sales for each country:
You will use Show values as Average. to take care of the multiple rows.
