Seinfeld is a bit out of place here, but he went very well - simple, clever, undisputably sharp jokes with the least amount of visible effort. A class act, as they say. People shitting on him can't really enjoy comedy for what it is.

Jerry IS a funny guy. I don't think this format is his strong suit tho. As a writer, can it even be questioned that he is at least above average? The others are quicker in a timed format and Jerry is more of a "pick your spots" kind of comedian here. You gotta give him props for doing shows like this though, young hungry comedians are brutal and risking back n forth where u get owned could be hazardous. People saying he isn't funny must admit that no one else on this show could have written a show as funny as Seinfeld. And I love Greg too but facts as they say, IS FACTS!
I think he did great. He did 4 or 5 things in 15 minutes and all of them worked. I think everybody did very well in this episode, it was a very good selection.

He leaned too heavily on the same jokes he'd been doing for 20 years and during the series. And then after this, he just did basically the same routine the following 20 years. If he DIDN'T have the mega hit series with Larry David, would he be so highly regarded? Or just be known as the guy who did the same jokes/routine for 40 years? Love the TV series Seinfeld but, his stand-up, much much much much less, and mainly because of the repetition of the same jokes. He may have written 10 minutes of new material in the last 20 years. Perhaps the series burnt him out, OR MAYBE he just thought, I'm getting so much money in royalties etc from the series, I don't NEED to write anything new at all. That's fine. But don't claim him as some top-of-the-heap comedian. If he really cared about comedy, he'd have written more in the last 20 years. But I think it was mostly about the money for him....

Can’t believe Seinfeld went on this show. It’s not his style at all but he held his own. You can tell he’s a seasoned vet here because he’s the only comic who didn’t come across as setting his jokes up where you could see the punchline coming a mile away
