The White Huns, also known as the White Hunas, were a subgroup of the Huna and/or Xionites known for their conquest and occupation of North India, particularly the Punjab region. Originating from Central Asia, they migrated towards South Asia, establishing control over various territories along the way. The White Huns, possibly synonymous with the Hephthalites, played a significant role in the region's history, ruling an extensive area from Central Asia to the Indian Subcontinent. Their nomadic nature and integration into the cultures of the lands they conquered distinguish them as a prominent force in the early centuries.
