Nice work Cam, pretty cool to see ChatGPT try to help as a driving coach. It's decent in the beginning.. but seems to get kinda basic as you ask it more questions. It doesn't replace a real coach... yet lol
I agree with this, it can't replace a real coach because the information that the AI trained for can be inaccurate sometimes, and usually it'll be confident about whatever answer it gives you, even if it's incorrect
No, definitely not a replacement for a real life coach any time soon. With that being said though, this is incredible considering it’s the first public version and it’s limited on the data it can pull from.
You won me over on your random Instagram reels that would pop up on my feed and now you got me hooked on your UA-cam content. Love your style of videos and editing!
The amount of editing and production work that goes into your videos is super underappreciated. I hope you blow up soon, congrats on 100k, I love watching your vids man :]
So for the RPM braking point. I think what the AI is trying to say is. When you’re in a consistent groove you’ll notice that when it’s about time to break for a certain corner you could be just hitting 7,500 rpm as an example. So you exit a corner you’re coming down the straight and once you hit 7,500 rpm it’s time to break. However I can only see this method work if you’re super consistent on track. Anyway that’s my interpretation of what the AI is trying to say.
Cameron, are you a computer scientist or a race car driver? I do iracing (last ten years) and had to look up who you were and what you did because I said to myself: Who is this genius AI science kid? BRAVO MAN. LIKED AND SUBSCRIBED. YOU EARNED A 52 YEAR OLD EX RACER FAN!
7:50 isn’t the brake balance to increase rear locking and shift more weight forward and loosen the rear to have a rotational moment arm into the corner? The AI just gave the wrong reason.
for now, ChatGPT can't replace a real professional coach. because it tends to get confused when answering complex questions. this can happen because ChatGPT's AI is trained on every single info that's out there on the internet. not all of those info is correct tho. so as a result, it'll spit out some inaccurate stuff. but who knows, maybe ChatGPT will improve in the future or smthn
You should take a look at Alethea AI. They are introducing CharacterGPT. We can create interactive AI characters by simply entering some text. Also they are working on the ownership of AI generative content.
@@CameronDasRacing I use it in combination with what the corner "looks like". I know, another very weird technique to use, but by how much of the corner, kerb and road behind it i can see i will determine when to brake. It all sounds really weird but just works well for me especially when combining the 2. Also to further explain the sound technique, it's not only the amount of RPM that i listen to. What plays a big part in it is after i've driven a few laps, you recognize the sound it makes as it is the same every lap if you do it correctly. My mind sort of starts a timer on the exit of the previous corner and something just clicks when i should brake because i'm sort of "counting" at how long it usually takes and that is linked to the sound. To be honest it sounds like complete bs, and i don't fully understand how it works either, but it works for me 😂
@cameron das racing I spent 100 laps trying to nail turn 3 and am consistently 0.6s slow by T6 (compared to VRS reference lap). The time is lost because I’m on the throttle later, the reference lap is getting on the throttle BEFDRE hopping the curb and I can’t get the car settled until after it. Braking earlier results in 0.4s slow on entry, braking harder results in overheated tires and pushing in 4 and 5. Have any tips? If so I’ll schedule a session. BMW LMDh btw
Not that I need to give my bonafides but I’m a 20 year software developer with an undergraduate degree in CS so take this as someone who has some knowledge of how Chat GPT works. It doesn’t “know” anything, You are assuming too much here. It only knows about text on the Internet, and in books. It’s making up sentences based on that text (look up “large language model” for more info). It answers the basics of driving and setup because there is a large amount of data on the internet that suggests the same. You are ignoring really important things here. If a person told you about turn 7 when it was actually turn 6 you would immediately stop listening to them. You also pointed out that diff changes are not good to start with. You questioned too many of the recommendations. The problem here is that you are an expert and filling in the blanks of knowledge, NOT listening to the AI. Don’t do that. Don’t pretend there is anything approaching an intelligence here.

@@CameronDasRacing very true! I think this is just the beginning. And ML is only as good as it’s dataset(s).

Cameron, I didn't even realized you reached now 100k subs! CONGRATS!
Hard to believe!! We were celebrating 1000 subs 8 months ago 🤯. Thanks for watching the vids 🤙
Wow this is insane 🤩! Nice video👍

can someone tell me how he got this telemetry with throttle and brakes?
try it out it will. increasing steering angle will stop you from spinning sometimes

The big difference between this and a real coach is this is free... And I'm already spending enough on iRacing... So this will work great

The RPM - braking point thing is actually somewhat true. I actually use the engine sound to judge my braking point and am very consistent with it :)
Interesting. What happens when you arrive at a higher top speed like in a slipstream? Won’t you end up braking earlier?

Great Video! any idea what software that one was that showed the line graphs of braking, gas, steering etc
May I ask which telemetry analyzer is that you are using?
VRS Telemetry but unf only for iracing
PLEASE HIRE ME BACK

I swear! i Just asked GPT last night about ACC car set ups!!! then this pops up in my YT HAHAHAHAHAHAAAA
What Sim do use and set up? Can you name all of the products in your set up items I meant.
Nice swatch mission to mars
Thanks! It’s a Pluto ✌️
Adjustable brake ducts are called duct tape
are you using gpt 4 or gpt 3
This video was made before GPT 4 came out
I forgot there was a time before gpt 4 XD

As cool as A.I. is on the surface, I am wholeheartedly against it.
I’m kind of in the same boat, but I don’t think there is any stopping it 🤷♂️

Certainly not the AI in iraciing.
Lance Stroll’s son
It's not an AI as we understand it. That shows clearly. Don't get me wrong, it's amazing even in this form, but this isn't true intelligence (yet).
