Love the money putt turf. I watched your older videos a few years ago before building mine. I got some great insight from your build. I especially love the wall clock that you made.
Always enjoy your content and attention to detail. I'm thinking about adding Simturf with their insert, but your hitting strip looks really good. Thanks. Matt
@@PixelGolf Well done man! Would love to make one someday as well so it caught my eye haha if you have any tips or suggestions please let me know how I can reach you! If not no worries! Love the content.
I truly appreciate your videos! Where did you get this CPU stand that you have mounted on the wall? I like the simplicity and that it allows displaying the CPU as well.
This is exactly I am looking for. My room shape is very similar to yours with open on the left and wall on the right. How do you putt with simulator on your turf with Mevo+? Do you putt in front of the tee?
I've seen a few people build they're mats using the 4 x 8 x1" foam from home depot etc. Do you have any thoughts on this instead of the 1" foam squares?
The gym mats are honestly worth it and you have the ability to move them around so you're not wearing out the portions you stand on over time. They also lock together giving you a more solid foundation. Those home depot pads don't seem to have a good bounce back from indents like the Eva gym mats do.
That I did! I used an Amazon pipe shelf kit and bought some wood pieces from the "nicer" section at Lowes. Links to the shelf are in the description of my "How To Build A Gaming PC" video.
Great content! Subscribed! One question I have is, do you have any issues with the turf moving when hitting as it is no glued to the gym mat? Does it not cause the launch monitor to move? Edit: I just saw you answered a similar question, so you have never had any issues with the mat moving at all? I am just trying to assess if it's worth it to use some kind of spray adhesive from the turf to the gym mat. Thank you!
The turf does not move on the mat at all. If anything, the whole assembly moves maybe a 1/2” or over time and I just wiggle it back in place. I wouldn’t use anything to start. If you need it, maybe try rug tape.
Thanks, just found this video! QQ - how would this perform over carpet? My sim room has carpet that I don't plan on removing yet, do you think it would be to soft? Would you also mind explaining your rationale for deciding hitting location from the screen? Assuming you won't interfere with any of the equipment, is distance from screen personal preference? or is there a rule you follow?
I’ve had a few people place the gym mat over carpet and they said it works okay. If anything I’d put some cheap ply wood over the carpet if it was an issue and removing it was not ideal.
Would you recommend having the putting cup where you would putt when playing golf on the sim to make it more realistic when playing? I noticed you have both of yours to the sides
Hello, you definitely don’t want it down the putting line while playing sim golf. The main reason being, you’re going to be putting all different types of lengths of putts and if you’re hitting a 20 footer to a pin that is 8’ away it would just mess with you and likely ricochet. You can always take the flag out of your putting cups and set it say 6’ away on the line and put at it if you wanted to practice that length. Hope that makes sense.
Just wondering how well putts roll on this turf. Do you think the ball rolls as fast and true as the dedicated putting mats such as Prime Putt or BirdieBall?
It definitely rolls true. I had a birdie ball and it rolled at about a 13 stimp I'd say, this one rolls at a 10-11, which is more common speed for courses.
Is the hitting insert slightly taller than the 1" gym mat + putting turf height? It seems like that could cause bottom point issues on a real course if you're used to the hitting insert being slightly higher.
It is not, it's perfectly flush. Check out my latest video showing how to make and install the hitting insert, it shows the process of it and it's perfectly flush with the turf. There's also a giveaway on that video so like & comment to that video for a chance to win. Thanks for watching!
I used pipe insulation foam on the front of the enclosure and then mounted them to that. Check out my video for "How To Build Your Dream Golf Sim" I go into more details about that process.

I think you had a video before where you showed where or how you built the shelves that hold your computer to the wall. Thanks. OH, and the link to the turf itself is not working.
I didn’t go into too much detail on the PC shelf, but it’s basically an Amazon pipe shelf kit that you can configure how you want and add your own wood shelves.
Where did you find the “rough” you have on the side? My Carls screen is also 10ft but my room is 12ft wide so I would like to put one foot of “rough” on each side
Hello, I bought that from Lowes. They have 15' widths and you can buy just 1 foot for like $20-30. Home Depot has it as well and there are a few colors to choose from!
Awesome build mate, just finished my Sim build, still. Needs a few upgrades but I am loving so far. Also started a UA-cam channel that features my build. Have a look if want. Regards Tim
Check the Computer build video on the channel, I have it linked. Basically you get the pipe kit from the Amazon link and assemble it however you want then add wood pieces for the shelves.
So the Money Putt is a little more than double the cost of the Supreme Putt you intially laid down. I'm not worried about having the best "putting" surface for me sim because I already have a Birdie Putt mat that I use. So given that, do you think the Money Putt is worth double the Supreme Putt?
If it continues to look good and based on my use it appears that it might hold up a while, it very well may be! The insert also appears to be to be holding up a lot better as well, which may lead to less turf swaps. However, price wise I would focus the budget elsewhere if something is lacking…

Hello, I bought a couple of these kits, amzn.to/3BoUsLd and then pieced them together to make it work and added wood slats from Lowes.
Do you adhere the turf to the gym mat? If no, does it slide at all when walked on or when hitting balls?
It is not adhered, it just free floats. It does not move.

speaking of, love that wall clock setup

This is exactly I am looking for. My room shape is very similar to yours with open on the left and wall on the right. How do you putt with simulator on your turf with Mevo+? Do you putt in front of the tee?

How flat does the turf lie?
When I walk on the rubber mats, it seems like it will be not flat.
Perfectly flat. The backing of this turf has a texture to it that really clings and keeps it from slipping.
How did you do the green lights behind the enclosure and how much was the new putting green?? Thanks!
The new putting green was about $900. Check out the how to build a dream sim video on the channel, it covers the lights.
