I really, really like your videos…..My families on both side have been in LA since the early 19th(Mother) and mid-19th (Father). I was born in Lafayette, grew up in Natchitoches, and have lived in NOLA, BR, Thibodaux and now Monroe. Your perspectives on LA history and geography are compelling and informative. Thanks.

We would go there when a light rain was expected and fill up ice chests full of crabs, using scoop nets, as they would surface in the rain.

Just found another place to put on my "Bucket List!" What is the distance to the fort from your take off point?

The mrgo didn’t devastate Saint Bernard parish because it wasn’t maintained. It did so because it was a horrible idea from day one. They to The mrgo was never utilized like they had planned. It was never sustainable. All to make for easier shipping easier, that never really happened.
Love your documentary. You should do one on the mrgo. Very little in depth info out there.

I can't believe there's graffiti on it now.
