I once got a really disturbed wtf look from one of my dragons when she saw me eating a stuffed pretzel sandwich! Looked like a convincing beardie to her! 😂
+dapras If you are still struggling to get it to eat salad when you feed it a cricket or what ever when they are chewing try and stick a little salad in its mouth! this worked with my beardies, now they all eat salads!
I love how much time and effort you put into your beardies. I have a juvie named Yoshi and in a couple days we are getting a full grown male. love your videos!!!!!
Thank you for this video. I've had my beardie for about 2 months now and he wasn't eating his greens. I added the sweet peppers and he eats them. Very much appreciated.
We learn a great deal from you Michel! And I hate when the Diet chart at the pet store has kale and stuff like that listed when you say beardies aren't really supposed to eat it. No more pet store shopping for me except for decorations!
Hey there Michel! My sister & I each have a baby beardie & we have had them for about 2 months now. I just wanna say I have been watching a lot of your videos on beardie care, which has educated my sister & I a lot. I just wanted to say thank you so very much! You are just awesome! P.S. Spudrella is stinkin’ cute!!❤️
Hi Michael. I have to say. I love your channel and all your information you give us all On bearded dragons. I adopted a year old one and at two it died of liver disease I have a baby now and I’m scared. He’s so shy I love your soothing voice also And your dragons are healthy and beautiful. My baby just won’t eat well I hope he makes it Thank you for all your videos
I feed my Beardie.. Collard greens, Parsley, Green Bell Peppers I give her Blueberries as a treat. I give my feeders left overs of what she doesn't eat so nothing goes to waste all the time. My crickets will still get dusted for additional Calcium and Multi-Vitamins. She will get Supers once a week. When she was in the petstpre they were feeding her lettuce and I was not happy when I seen what she was being fed and told them that is not the proper vegetables they need for nutritional value. Bearded Dragons are beautiful pets
Hi great video, I always wash all my veggies also and have a similar process as you on preparing. However I find that the collard when washed and cut and stored gets a weird smell If its still wet.. and get soggy. I prepare there salads on weekend for the week but I dislike the smell of it being stored after washed. Do you get this too...?
Once again I don't know what I would do without your informative videos! As beginners, my son and I are slowly learning about feeding. Our beardy is about 8mon, and all of a sudden hes trying to bite our fingers right before we feed him. Like hes famished, and there has been no changes in his food quanity. What do you think?
Hope Ray Take some tweezers and move it around, so the beardie thinks it's alive, also the more colorful the salad is, the more s/he'll want it, try putting some shredded butternut squash, carrot, and red, and/or yellow bell pepper
I have not tried collard greens or sweet peppers with my beardie, but I do feed her carrots(She eats them occasionally), green leaf lettuce, apples, blueberries , strawberries(de-seeded), babanas(peeled), butternut squash, broccoli, pease, etc. I rotate it often but I think I am going to try the collard greens and sweet peppers. I noticed mine does have a sweet tooth.
my beardie loves kale/collards with zucchini. that's the staples for me. of course he gets a lil of whatever is laying around lol I'm sure u don't have to worry about the calcium if you always dust your beardie food with calcium.
Hi Michel, great video, my little bearded dragon is just over a year old and has stopped shedding so I guess she must be fully grown but am not sure. I wanted to ask you some advice as I'm from England and haven't seen collard greens here so I wondered if I could feed my beardie some green cabbage. I have been giving her curly kale but she doesn't get a lot of that and I didn't realise until I watched your video that kale isn't that great for beardies. I need a way to get her to eat more calcium. The idea about the sweet peppers is great and am going to try her on those but would love to know how she can get more calcium. I do sprinkle calcium powder on her food too. Hope to get some advice. Thanks a million, Catherine :)
I made this just as you do for my beardie, the collard greens and sweet peppers, I also ordered some dubia roaches for her(gag, I can't stand roaches, but wanted to try them for her) and she only ate 3 roaches. She seemed a little confused by them. She also just stared at the salad mix at first until I threw a few mealworms in it than she sampled some of the salad and seemed okay with it, though she didnt eat very much.
as a southern girl I'm watching him cut the leaves and saying to myself 'just rip that shit!' anyway I'm loving you're videos and im hoping to get a beardy baby in the future. do you sell then at all?
With only one dragon it not expensive but it's not cheap either if that makes any sense. Babies need a lot of proteins when there young so you will buy feeders a lot if you want your beardies to look like mine. But once there adults they only need feeders every three days so all your really buying is salads once a week.
Yes I'm sorry my baby that I have for sale will be available next week. If you check my Facebook page you will see more updates. If you have question about a certain one just pm.
Any advice on encouraging your beardie to eat a variety of things? I've got a ~8month old female, and she loves collard greens and dandelion greens but she wont eat anything else! Doesnt even pay any attention to peppers/carrots/sweetcorn etc. I know collard &dandelion greens are two of the best but I still feel like she should be getting a proper variety
Adult bearded dragons have a much slower metabolism and will get fatty liver disease. So that's why as adults you only want to feed proteins (crickets, supers, hornworms) every three days and salad every morning.
I have PM'ed you before, and you are a great help, but I wanted to ask; can I feed the bell peppers every day? And I want to get two beardies so would it be best two female yearlings? Thank you :)
How would you suggest to feed a singular dragon? I know you have a number of them, so purchasing an entire stock of collard greens is feasible, but for a single?
If you want an easier way to remove the seeds from peppers. Roll it on the kitchen counter with you hand back and forth. When you then cut the top off, and tip it. The seeds should fall out.
hi im from the uk and cant find collard greens anywhere the nearest thing over here is spring greens but they are slightly more bitter are spring greens ok for beardies ?
How many crickets are you supposed to feed a Bearded Dragon a day? Is it true they need to eat over 100? Thats alot esp for a reptile considered for a beginner.
I have searched everywhere for this answer.....how do you preserve fresh veggies and greens for beardies?? The stuff I buy once a week rots before the beardies get to eat all of it so I started freezing it and thawing it in warm water as I need it. Doesnt that take the goodness out of it though?
Amber Uplinger Freezing does basically nothing to the food, just slows down the aging process, and takes some water from it, it doesn't take the nutrients out of the food, but I recommend if you cut something for your beardie, do it in smaller amounts, like make a salad that could last your beardie four days (feed a fourth every day) and then keep going like that, because four days isn't a whole week so the food won't have to be frozen, because fresher the better
Micheal Buys My lizards like yours she doesn't eat for ages I start getting blueberries in watercress with tiny bits of worms in it.If she ignores it dont panic just get her food daily so if she really needs it she will eat it :)
Do you just feed them that and nothing else cos I'm thinking of getting a dragon myself but I have been doing lots of research but I still can't get proper information so can you give me some tips and tricks ?
Carrots are good and feed dubia roaches crickets are bad crickets smell they are really expensive loud and are way worse than dubia roaches for you dragons and unlike crickets dubia roaches can't infested your house
Hi Michel! I really love your videos! I just recently adopted a 4 month old bearded dragon from a local person and I have some questions I was really hoping you could answer for me. Ive been doing research for a while and a lot of different people have different views and opinions. Here are the questions I have... 1. Do I feed him salad twice a day or just once? and also, im hearing people say carrots are bad for them...Ive been feeding this salad recipe to him and he really seems to like it, and I know enough about you and your dragons to know you would never feed them something that would hurt them...so whats the truth? 2. I have the reptile vitamins and calcium. how often should I be dusting his food with each? and do I do my live feeders or just his greens? 3. How often should I be feeding him live feeds? and how many crickets? I've heard anywhere from 20 every other day to 200 per day...confusing. 4. Also, what hours should his lights be turned on? I need to get him on a schedule but I dont know what time to turn them on and off? Any reply would be appreciated! Thanks so much for making videos!!
Oh! I forgot one more question! What kinds of worms are okay to feed Im hearing a lot of different views on that too! Especially considering his age and everything I dont want to give him something that will be bad for him!
very good, i made the mistake of buying collard greens, my bady had no interest in them. NOW i know it is kale. How about shredded carrots into the mix, i was told that it enhances the color of you beardie??? And fruit, strawberries ect.?
what's your opinion on dehydrated food? i just got my first beardie and the pet store recommended it, you just put it in water for a bit to rehydrate it but I'm not too convinced
What do you feed your adults and how cause I heard that when they're babies 20% veggies and 80% protein and when they're adults its 20% protein and 80% greens so how much crickets should you give your adult dragon and how much greens should you give your babies each week and what age does the adult diet refer to
I don't have a beardy yet but where do I put the left over lettuce because I don't know if it's suppose to be cold or hot. I know this might sound like a dumb question because I'm new to this, I only have a chameleon
+J Martinez Lettuce isn't really the best thing to feed bearded dragons. (there's not a lot of nutritional value in lettuce) Collard greens, dandelion greens, bok choi, and mustard greens are the best things for them to eat. I think putting them in a little baggie in the fridge after cutting what you want is the best thing to do.
Dark I'm not too sure.. I don't own a bearded dragon, my friend does. XD They talk about them a lot though, so... You should probably just search around the internet and look at people's opinions on Phoenix worms.
You also want to de-vein the peppers when cutting them up for your salad and are de-seeding them. As far as the tops go, you really only need to get rid of the stem and any parts of the veins that happen to be in the top part you've cut off, but you can cut the rest of it up and add it in to the salad with the rest of the pepper you cut up if you want to or if you need to save money and/or make that week's veggies last/go as far as possible. Or you can add all the tops veins and stems in with the stalks from the greens to your feeder tanks and bins/containers to give them a more wide food selection an various nutrients from the different veggies and fruits. You can also even put the seeds in there as some insects will eat every bit of the fruit/veggie right down to the seeds and stem and all. A lot of times they won't and the big staple feeders don't usually eat the seeds and stuff but some feeders do and the main feeders sometimes will eat every part of it. All just depends, but they can be like little garbage disposals sometimes haha and they are very good cleaner uppers when it comes to left overs from making the salads and the left over/near spoiled stuff you have in your fridge/house for yourself/your family. I give mine just about everything really. Well that they can and should eat/that is safe and ok for beardies to end up getting as a result of eating the insects and second hand from the bugs when your dragon eats the feeders. You've just got to watch out for stuff that's toxic to dragons both first hand and when or because the feeder'd eaten that specific thing. Like horn worms eatin tomato leaves and/or tobacco leaves. They aren't harmful to your dragon on their own, at least tomato leaves anyway, and they're not at all harmful to your worms, but once the worms have eaten the leaves their digestive system turns them into an extremely toxic substance to and for dragons, now the tomato itself does not do this and the worms can chow all the tomatoes they want and your beardie can eat the worms and they will be totally fine, but the tomatoes plant leaves is a completely different story.... so just things like that you've got to be careful of and watch out for, but most stuff is ok to give your feeders and will benefit your pets in turn when they eat their buggies. :)
I wish there were more dragon owners like you
OMG at first I thought by the title that he was USING beardys😂 I almost had a heart attack

You are just awesome!

my girl loves raspberries. thanks for the helpful video.
Awesome! I add a little of my beardies favorite (cucumbers) and they love it!
This is good. I've been using kale, carrots, celery and strawberries for starting out my baby beardie.
Hi Michael. I have to say. I love your channel and all your information you give us all

I feed my Beardie..
Collard greens, Parsley, Green Bell Peppers

My 2 month old dragon likes mustard greens but hates carrots
Put your insects under the greens so it moves.
You're giving me beardie fever.... It's been a year since I lost my last one.... Now I'm wanting one again!
+Donna James If you lost a beardy please dont get another
+Daason Carter she was 11 years old..... I think I did pretty well.....

Very nice and helpful vid. Thank u
U seem like a dedicated man!
I wish i could buy a bearded dragon from you:O
I have not tried collard greens or sweet peppers with my beardie, but I do feed her carrots(She eats them occasionally), green leaf lettuce, apples, blueberries , strawberries(de-seeded), babanas(peeled), butternut squash, broccoli, pease, etc. I rotate it often but I think I am going to try the collard greens and sweet peppers. Lol. A beardy chef. ;-)
Beardies seem like cool reptiles to take care of, just wondering what the cost of keeping one is?
awesome ill have to try collard greens, I usually use bokchoy and romain
Well salad should be offered everyday and the salad will stay fresh for a week so you should be good. I go through this much salad every three days
my beardie loves kale/collards with zucchini. that's the staples for me. of course he gets a lil of whatever is laying around lol I'm sure u don't have to worry about the calcium if you always dust your beardie food with calcium.
I know but dusting ruined my carpet
There are tons of veggies beardies are safe to eat. I don't use carrots because my guys don't like them but all beardies are different .
Hi Michel, great video, my little bearded dragon is just over a year old and has stopped shedding so I guess she must be fully grown but am not sure. Oh man that knife is sharp
I made this just as you do for my beardie, the collard greens and sweet peppers, I also ordered some dubia roaches for her(gag, I can't stand roaches, but wanted to try them for her) and she only ate 3 roaches. She seemed a little confused by them. I had that problem before now mine love it's veggies
as a southern girl I'm watching him cut the leaves and saying to myself 'just rip that shit!' anyway I'm loving you're videos and im hoping to get a beardy baby in the future. do you sell then at all?
He has a website called webe reptiles
That's a good knife!
I use watercress my beardy sometimes doesn't eat it to try and have some meal worms so I hide watercress under the meal worms. All ways works :D
Thanks Michel this was so helpful cheers dude

What do you think about those premix bags that has the kale and everything in it carrots and a bunch of good stuff
Any advice on encouraging your beardie to eat a variety of things? I've got a ~8month old female, and she loves collard greens and dandelion greens but she wont eat anything else! Our beards LOVE kale, but I'll have to try collards, if that's the case. I haven't tried spinach.
Adult bearded dragons have a much slower metabolism and will get fatty liver disease. So that's why as adults you only want to feed proteins (crickets, supers, hornworms) every three days and salad every morning.
Thanks man, if I were to buy one is be sure to do all the research necessary first
Did anyone else glance at the thumbnail+title and think he was literally cutting his bearded dragons up?
Yes lol
i know!!!!!!
i didn't
Goatzilla same
Goatzilla yes
I have PM'ed you before, and you are a great help, but I wanted to ask; can I feed the bell peppers every day? And I want to get two beardies so would it be best two female yearlings? Thank you :)
How would you suggest to feed a singular dragon? I know you have a number of them, so purchasing an entire stock of collard greens is feasible, but for a single?
Do did see the blueberries right? I add fruits only once a month because of how much sugar fruit has.
Thanks man, my beardie Lazer (Odd name I know, and yes that is how you spell it it is diff to 'Laser') loves this stuff now =D
how many insects a day should a juvenile or month old bearded dragon have in one day????
If you want an easier way to remove the seeds from peppers. Roll it on the kitchen counter with you hand back and forth. When you then cut the top off, and tip it. The seeds should fall out.
Where do you buy your collard greens from?
Thanks this has really helped :)
It works my beardie loves it
hi im from the uk and cant find collard greens anywhere the nearest thing over here is spring greens but they are slightly more bitter are spring greens ok for beardies ?

Hello. Why don't you put carrots, dandelion greens, and mustard greens? I heard that they do good job.
are carrots good to feed them? And also what insects are good and okay? I heard mealworms are bad for them.
Carrots are good and feed dubia roaches crickets are bad crickets smell they are really expensive loud and are way worse than dubia roaches for you dragons and unlike crickets dubia roaches can't infested your house
Carrots are ok , just no big pieces. Crickets are also good , and no mealworms .
Carrots are ok , just no big pieces. Crickets are also good , and no mealworms .
don't feed them meal worms feed them these worms called super worms their like meal worms just bigger and more healthy
+brad_paisley_lover brad_paisley_lover No, both meal worms and super worms are bad, their shells cause impaction.
Especially considering his age and everything I dont want to give him something that will be bad for him!
brockmac19 super worms they are a lot easier to digest unlike mealworms
very good, i made the mistake of buying collard greens, my bady had no interest in them. NOW i know it is kale. How about shredded carrots into the mix, i was told that it enhances the color of you beardie??? And fruit, strawberries ect.?
pretty interesting🐲🐲
When u said burtio I bit into my burtio
Thanks for this!
When I saw the thumbnail i thought he was chopping the beardies XD
Yep me too
lol wait.... HARRY POTTER!
what's your opinion on dehydrated food? i just got my first beardie and the pet store recommended it, you just put it in water for a bit to rehydrate it but I'm not too convinced
veronica rivera
Fresher the better, so I don't really recommend it
veronica rivera No make fresh
Still first XD Nice video
I always save my stems for my dubias and crickets
How many times a day should an adult bearded dragon be fed? What should their diet consist of?
+Chloe Sarginson are Phoenix worms a good feeder cause I don't plan on feeding crickets or roaches maybe some treat worms but not d roaches ?
+Chloe Sarginson I've heard they are a ok feeder worm. And do I need to feed my beardie Dubia roaches or can I just feed them worms ect
Can I use Bell Peppers as well?
Is escarole okay instead of collard greens?
Hi! I have a baby bearded dragon. Should I put meal worms in her salad? I heard they like things that move.. Thanks!
5 years ago michel made salad? en serio?
How long will this last in the fridge? I only have one beardie, and I always end up throwing greens away :(
I've been there before put your greens in a plastic bag they will last longer
What do you feed your adults and how cause I heard that when they're babies 20% veggies and 80% protein and when they're adults its 20% protein and 80% greens so how much crickets should you give your adult dragon and how much greens should you give your babies each week and what age does the adult diet refer to
Where did you get the foods?
michel what about tomatoes? I actually have fit mine Tomatoes before he did eat them but I don't do it often.
Red Ohmai
Well if it's not very often, the beardie should be fine, but just know they can't handle citrus like we can
Can you do a full breeding video please as am looking to breed this year thanks
But i cant find collard greens at my local farm fresh food store is there any substitutes?
I don't have a beardy yet but where do I put the left over lettuce because I don't know if it's suppose to be cold or hot. I know this might sound like a dumb question because I'm new to this, I only have a chameleon
+J Martinez Lettuce isn't really the best thing to feed bearded dragons. (there's not a lot of nutritional value in lettuce) Collard greens, dandelion greens, bok choi, and mustard greens are the best things for them to eat. I think putting them in a little baggie in the fridge after cutting what you want is the best thing to do.
+Armin Arlert are phoenix worms a good regular feeder?
Dark I'm not too sure.. I don't own a bearded dragon, my friend does. XD They talk about them a lot though, so... You should probably just search around the internet and look at people's opinions on Phoenix worms.
+Dark dubia roaches are the best
